Description 'It was not long before Aragorn found fresh signs. At one point, near the bank of the Entwash he came upon footprints: hobbit-prints, but too light for much to be made of them. Then again, beneath the bole of a great tree on the very edge of the wood more prints were discovered. The earth was bare and dry, and did not reveal much.'

My "Spot Hidden" spell (Spo Thiddin) would find what Gandalf found. Tho only a true magician can use my spells, I don't give the full words, lest untold havoc result if the reader is a true wizard.

I love the way you've painted the trees - they look very gnarled, tangled and twisty!

Thank you. For me, the key is simply observation, and taking references. Take a sketchbook with you to the woods and/or a park, or simply take photographs everywhere you go - and study and practice! Actually, I find trees and perhaps nature in general easier to draw/paint than architecture, as there are slightly fewer 'rules'; obviously they have to look realistic, but you can go quite crazy in their shape and design. With buildings and the like, if you go too crazy it looks as if it'll topple over pretty easily

I think it's important to do justice to trees and forests, particularly in Tolkien's world, since he himself was never shy of how much he adored such nature.

Dammit Pete... another masterpiece! As always when it comes to forests and trees you just seem to let your mind wander off on a heavy acid trip and create some of the most beautiful wood-work known to man. I really envy your sense for painting forests. Great work; perfect interpretation of Fangorn.

hmm...looks a lot like John Howie's works; one of the concept artists that worked on the Lord of the Rings films and is a Tolkien artist..hmm...I would like to know how you did this. Very good.
