Aurana
A trainer above all else, Aurana has come down from training in the remote regions of Johto to test her skill in this so called "Ultimate" Battle Frontier. Originally intending on only taking five pokemon, she was joined up by a sassy wild Smeargle who forced her way into Aurana's party for the duration of the tournament. Aurana is a stubborn person, and her people skills are lacking. She is, however, nice once you get to know her, and she cares for her Pokemon like siblings.

Aurana was born and grew up in Ecruteak. Surrounded by the rich history and traditions involving Pokemon, it didn't take long for the young girl to become enamored with the creatures. Whether it was talking the Kimono Dance Troupe or watching Gym Battles, Aurana would always be doing something involving Pokemon, and she longed for the day she would set out with her own.

Sadly, her parents were set on their daughter taking a much different career path: Shrine Maiden of the Tin Tower. They relentlessly tried to force Aurana, the eldest of their two daughters, to become more lady like, refined, and quiet, as well as teaching her how to carry out the complex ceremonies involved. Eventually, Aurana couldn't take the strain, and after seeing an advertisement on TV about the New Bark Town Professor giving out starter Pokemon, she quietly packed what she thought was necessary and slipped off on her grand adventure.

Azelia
The "Manly" Meganium
Nature: Rash
Ability: Overgrow
Aurana's first Pokémon, the young trainer originally thought the grass type was female, and named him a very flowery name. Over time, Aurana realized her error, but the damage was done. Overly eloquent, Azelia is one who appreciates beauty in all things, especially battling. He's still very much a man at his core, and this often leads to him flirting with "the fairer specimens of the grass family."

Moona
Modest Massacre
Nature: Modest
Ability: Sand Stream
The newest member of Aurana's official team, Moona has only been with the trainer for a few years, enough time for her to be lovingly raised from an egg Aurana was given from the Daycare couple in Kanto, who seemed rather desperate at the time to get rid of it. What hatched was certainly nothing to worry about, and to this day Moona is mild mannered, well behaved, and modest when it comes to her own abilities, which are anything but. In battle, the sweet, almost shy Tyranatar changes into a loyal and vicious fighter, heading Aurana's every command. Moona sees Aurana as a big sister of sorts, and it is not uncommon for her to show affection with a light head tap.

Alexander
Noble Mountain King
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Flash Fire
If Aurana had to pick a favorite member of her team, then Alexander would most likely be it. Loyal to her ever since he was a growlithe, the large canine pokemon has always stood as Aurana's protector, even as far as loosing sight in his left eye while fighting against an aggressive wild Weavile while training high in the mountains. His battling skills and even day to day actives seem not to have been hindered by the loss of his eye, although he doesn't like to be approached from that side. The other members of the team respect Alex, and when he speaks, they listen.

Lumin
Light from the Depths
Nature: Quiet
Ability: Volt Absorb
The most "normal" of all of Aurana's pokemon personality wise, he's a silent plotter of sorts when it comes to battles. The only member of the team with a move to cancel Moona's Sand Steam ability, he's of tactical importance, and thus is a tactician in and of himself. He usually doesn't share his ideas, though, as he was often laughed at for being overly nerdy when he was in the wild.

Ozwald
Silent Mystic
Nature: *stare* (Quirky)
Ability: Early Bird
There isn't much to say about Ozwald other than the fact that he's typically unpredictable and often speaks in metaphor or in riddles. Often seen staring into space, the psychic bird can actually see the future to a point in brief flashes. It was this ability that allowed him to save Aurana's life when they first met in a canyon. The then wild xatu blocked Aurana's path until a dangerous rock slide further up the path had passed. Aurana, seeing the potential for this ability, offered the Xatu a spot on her team, and he accepted. Ozwald is the only member of the team not raised from his base form.

Smeargwyn
Renegade Artist
Nature: Sassy/Impish
Ability: Own Tempo
A wild Pokémon who is currently staying with Aurana as a way to get into the Frontier and draw the many different subjects available their. Not much of a battler, she prefers speed and treachery over an all out assault, and most of her moves reflect this. The move "Outrage" was only accidentally learned when she was in a pinch against an angry Tyranatar (who wasn't Moona). Smeargwyn enjoys tormenting Aurana, which could end up getting her in a pokéball if she's not careful. She enjoys fine art and design and will never mess up formal wear as a result.
