Description So I sit down to do an epic amount of work (that I still need to do for the end of this month) and think 'why don't I just relax for five minutes and doodle a cute looking Numbuh 4? I've been watching KND a little recently'.
Cue two hours later, and THIS happens. My God, this was the worst time for me to suddenly paint something I really like.

I've always loved Numbuh Four, and I like drawing people looking profound- especially when they have almost no emotional depth. This was mostly a chance for me to totally mess around with colours, and to spaz out while colouring in eyes. I love colouring eyes.

CHECK OUT THIS [link] IT IS JUST THE GREATEST COLOUR TUTORIAL EVER. YOU WILL IMPROVE BEFORE YOUR VERY EYES.

Is there a time limit for speedpaints? :0

"Is there a time limit for speedpaints?"

As Mr. Owl says,

"The world may never know."

He is more groomed than normal I have an aversion to sticky children so he's post-bath or something.

hahawhaaa?
more and more people are becoming KND fans these days I think I liked your P&F work beforehand...

Wally looks.. actually a little profound. Like he's THINKING or something. That's new. =w=
MOAR!

I'm glad you thought so too! I wanted to give him a wee bit of dignity for once . Rather than 2+2izza. I remember when the advertisements for KND first came out it's been one of my favourite cartoons for, like, ever.

Thank you very much!

I've always thought Wally was like, BRILLIANT or something deep down. Who needs brains? this kid's got MAGIC IN HIS SKULL.

heh. I kinda remember... I was only 6 or 7 years old, though.
I wanted to be Numbuh 5 for Halloween a year later. My dad stopped me when he was like,
"uh.. nobody will know who you are, hon. "
"WHY??1 :V"
"Because you're.. c'mon don't make me do this."
He's not racist, he didn't want to offend the african-american families.
It could happen. xD o.o;

Well he does grow up to be a brilliant doctor, according to the finale Harvard-educated and everything. He was just a late bloomer. Like a reverse Matilda.

Awww, I never dressed up like that for halloween though I can't see anyone knowing who you'd have been anyway, so you being offensive would have been a one-in-a-million chance.

Also, love your Adventure Time icon .

I bet he cheated. =w=

I've "cosplayed" or something for like, almost every halloween of my life. xD

Also, I too love my Adventure Time Icon. I can't draw a better one...

I'm not sure he did he was using all sorts of fancy terminology when he spoke. Still, I like to regard the last episode as semi-canon anyway it was all a bit trippy.

neonchanxxx In reply to Pentamerone [2010-11-04 02:48:42 +0000 UTC]

Yeah..
like maybe... it was only a DREAM.
YEAH... I wish. D:

but in all seriousity and cannoness, there's a theroy that the whole GKND thing "was a ruse to mislead Father about the whereabouts of Nigel."
So, Nigel never left... and Father didn't do crap about it until forty years later by interveiwing 2-5..
who are ooold why were they so old?!
What ever happened to Rachel? and Fanny? weren't they characters too?
GAAAAH

I reckon you're right about the it-being-a-diversion thing, but I generally consider the last episode to be semi-canon so I can pretend it doesn't exist if I don't want it to . In my canon Numbuh 5 becomes Foxxy Love from Drawn Together, even though I don't actually like the idea my brain is convinced that it's true.

neonchanxxx In reply to Pentamerone [2010-11-04 20:23:55 +0000 UTC]

oh. god.
that's what my brain keeps trying to convince me. e_e
The first time I saw Drawn Together (and I think I was in 3rd grade..) I was like
"'that Numbuh 5?"
I don't know, it's just the voice.. and the hat. o_o

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Pentamerone In reply to neonchanxxx [2010-11-04 21:46:29 +0000 UTC]

Definitely the voice and hat. For some reason I don't get the same feeling from anyone else that Cree Summers voices though. Foxxy's got the same sensible side, I guess.

I also find hearing Numbuh Five say (paraphrased- I can't remember the exact line) "Turns out she doesn't know a damn thing about sex. Can you imagine? I mean, how does she get guys to pay her rent?" both horrifying and hilarious.

Pretty danged good, especially for a speedpaint. Even with a little more age he's still looking rather clueless. Is re-watching the show as enjoyable as the first time around? I'd be looking too, but the finale let me down a bit.

I think the time limits are relative to how much time you normally put into a piece, though I think half a day is the unspoken maximum.

Anyway, I hope your week is off to a great start. Take care.

Pentamerone In reply to cuteswan [2010-11-01 22:39:57 +0000 UTC]

Aah good. Half a day is a good thing to measure any future speedpaints against thanks!

I've rewatched the show so many times, and it's always enjoyable though it'll never beat watching it when I was younger. I actually rather liked the ending, though the live action stuff was kind of annoying. Still, Numbuh 4 got smart, which was all I wanted .

Thank you very much, and I hope yours is the same!

And I suppose so. It was revealed in one episode or another that Wally's eyes are green, but hopefully most people won't remember ¬¬.

I love Zombie too :3 but Hanna is my favourite because... I've never seen a fictional character behave more like myself .

Um... that one with the giant sea of asparagus I remember he goes slightly mental, and to show his eyes going wide they just coloured his pupils green . I know it's happened a couple of other times, but that's the one I remember.

I'm actually listening to Trace Adkins right this minute.

Well, just don't assume that all Brits stereotype Americans . I love the US; favourite country in the whole world. Still not been to Texas though it's on my to-visit list.

Yeah! Another Trace fan! He's my hero I have his unread autobiography on my bookshelf. I need to get round to it.
