EVENTUALLY…This drawing drove me almost crazy… but eventually I've managed it
Draco & Ginny on a ball for She is one of my oldest friends on DA – since a time, when I had hardly more than a dozen pageviews
We always had this one ship in common, and I think that it is a good ship, because – although it is a big and still growing ship – it is one of the most peaceful in HP fandom There are Arthur, Lucius and Harry in the background. IMO, Draco/Ginny is only half as fun without their fathers who are very, very, very contrary. And Harry is enjoying Lucius' displeasure, teasing him… OK, I know that I shouldn't read fic rec lists with links to Harry/Lucius sites, distinguishing which one of the two is on top of the other… it's unhealthy

I'm sure there's a 'davesmom' fic where Ginny dances with Draco in a red dress... I keep meaning to draw it, but here it is! (Although I think they're older and no disapproving parents are around!)

It is not that I don't like D/G as much as I'm one of those people who generally stick to canon (even though I hate him with Pansy, lol). What I REALLY can't see is D/Herm. At any rate! You're very welcome!

Actually, I stick to canon a lot too... but I don't think that ships define what canon is. Fics who are considered as "like canon" are usually that what I would loathe to see in DH! I know fics which feels very close to canon, but their ships are only to often completely fanon.
Plus, who defines which ships are canon? TLC? Mugglenet?
I firmly believe that Harry was under a Lovepotion in HBP. That leaves D/G as a real option.

I'm sure, that she doesn't lie, but I know also, that she's good at distracting from the real thing. I was told so many times, that JKR had said that Draco wouldn't become good and that people like me would just like him because of Tom Felton... they never knew the quote tough. Other than me... I know all quotes about Draco, also those who are the reason for such statements...
JKR said that she always knew that Harry and Ginny would get together and break up. This happened in HBP. She said this after HBP. The same happened with Harry and Cho in OotP. They didn't get together again. Emerson, Melissa & Co are free to ASSUME that it may be otherwise with Harry and Ginny, but I completely fail to see their point. JKR says that Ginny is Harry's ideal girl. I don't know any well written romance in which the ideal girl was the right girl! Actually, the most famous love stories are about people falling for someone who is everything but their ideal girl. In these stories, there is always an ideal girl around, tough.
This is my view... I might be wrong. I might be right. I don't know anything more than any other fan. You have to assume and interpret quotes to a certain extent...
