I'm watching season four, and five on Hulu. They had such good chemistry together.

Surprising just how funny the show could be, too-nice, dark, dry sense of humor

I see that the down-hearted looking Emma is aware that her partner John is not going to help her - his derby is floating on top of the quicksand. Too bad she can't get one of Dr. Clement Armstrong's Cybernaut's to assist. On the other hand, would the Cybernaut assist her anyway?

I think Tara King gave her directions

It certainly was not "Mother". How are you?

Doing alright, thanks. (and I actually liked Tara King; her only fault was following Mrs P)

WOW! As soon a I saw this image, I thought, "That looks like Emma Peel." IT IS! IT IS EMMA PEEL!
Emma was SO SINKABLE... what a missed opportunity. In fact, once Emma left and Steed had his second lady sidekick, there was one episode where Steed faked his demise in a mire. Where was Emma or the other gal when we needed a wonderful sinking scene?!
I can recall looking at the "TV Guide" YEARS AGO, and seeing, "The Avengers," listed. I thought, "Cool! Must be a program featuring Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor." Nope... I get this black and white program with a nicely dressed gentleman with an umbrella and armored hat, and a hot brunette in snugfitting attire (that kept me interested), both of whom I eventually learned were secret agents! COOL! I was HOOKED from then on!
Thanks for sharing this, Pete, as well as bringing back the memories of this outstanding program!

She'd probably say..."Drat, I seem to be rather a bit stuck, I say." "oh we'll. Guess I'll make the best of it and have a good sink. I say, Steed...can you feel bottom yet? Steed? STEED? Well that's just lovely! He's buggered off and left me to sink alone. Typical!"

In my head. Too bad they never had a scene like this one in the actual show. Instant classic!
