Thank you! more to come in a little while! These are really just random sketches, especially the heads, they aren't compatible with each other XD

That's true
centaurism is the most logical form for a sapient hexapod though

True. the only other option are maybe some mouthparts becoming manipulatory organs?
I am actually still troubled by the familiarity of my concepts, I am constraining myself with what I know about biomechanics and I keep producing very familiar-looking (in my opinion) aliens as a result. I wonder if it is a good thing or a bad thing, but somehow I feel like I really should try a completely different anatomy that just looks alien and put biomechanics on a lower place on my list of priorities. I don't feel like putting an extra pair of legs and eyes on my creatures really does the trick... I don't know... XD

Yeah, they could have lip-derived manipulatory organs
I used to focus a lot on biomechanics too. I was really concerned that my aliens might not make sense anatomically so I just designed familiar creatures.
With Aurora I didnβt care about biomechanics and just made them look however I wanted. I reckon that this made them look more alien and not as familiar.Β I recommend forgetting all you know about biomechanics and just give your aliens whatever shape you want.Β

My favorite one is the lower right hand corner one. The one crossed with what appears to be a frog and a dolphin ^_^
