Description Concept  of sword. I did it in 3ds max. Rendering engine is V-ray.  Not complicated. Few lines connected together. . I did only this one picture this time. It is large picture as always to see details.

So what do you think. do you like it or not? tnx for comments if any. bye.

Hi mate. tnx you. I have to say that when I started to make swords I went into that with though there is nothing special or complex philosophy around it. Ok, there is some kind of blade in various shape +grip. how dificult it could be. (I know somehing abut metalurgy so  am aware how dificult is to get quality from steel while forging, ,hardening, tempering, annealing..) Then when people with sword skills began  to put qualified comments under my works and after I wathed some documents on youtube +some videos from people like skallagrim only then I understood how complex science can be behind such a simple thing as swords are...

I know theay are true and also you are true. If I want to create something new which does not copy all main characteristic of real swords then time by time I have to make some compromise with physic laws and therefore I used to use very often word "fantasy" in description

Overall

Vision

Originality

Technique

Impact

The design looks wonderful. Aesthetically, it's gorgeous though there are some parts that aren't practical. Unless it's well made, balance would definitely be an issue. The mass appears to be mostly around the bottom of the blade, making it less of a slashing weapon and more of a stabbing one. Also, unless the wielder wears gloves, the hilt might be quite uncomfortable. If made small enough, this would pair perfectly with a shield. The originality is amazing. In my long review of blades, I can't say I've seen one that looks like this, though I could be wrong. The technique of the medium is great. A lot of detail was put into this weapon and it shows. This sword overall is fantastic. If this was in my options of arsenal, I'd probably grab it first.

Hi mate. Tnx for very possitive words. It wasnt big job. Have no time to do all. Mainly with that grip you are right. Could be unconfortable to hold it. Just wanna to try something new.

I know I'm late to the game, but this one speaks to me.  In my head canon, the blade ring is a detachable chakran that the wielder throws while they continue to hack away with the sword

Zkeierea [2015-03-12 12:23:48 +0000 UTC]

Looks awesome, but fuctionality wise it is to risky to wield for fighting. It will ever only be a one handed sword. So if it's to long that is a bad thing.

Another Lovely work from you! I higly recommend increasing the length of the grip so that Two hands can have a grip.

Another thing is that thise mini blades nearest to the grip could pose grweat danger to the user. (another reason why the grip should be extended)

Its a lovely weapon...very creative and unique! Doesnt look like ANYTHING i know of at all which is fantastic!!

Sequito-Equitis [2014-09-17 18:07:23 +0000 UTC]

I do wonder if you might not have the broadening of the blade at the base backwards -- as a cross guard I suspect it would guide a parried opponents blade down to take one's wrist off!

Other than that, it's gorgeous.

The blisters on the handle are interesting -- sort of a modern take on the handle of a samurai sword.  So long as they don't stick out *too* much they'd likely lend a steady grip and not give the *user's hand* blisters.

I can even imagine a few plausible rationales for the doughnut hole reveal at the center of the cross guard.

Overall, very cool and one of your more interesting concepts.
