probably one of my best artworks in the recent past so far (right from the beginning it was somehow very satisfying to draw it)...I am a big fan of the animated tv-show 'avatar - the last airbender' (movie was total crap btw)...
loved the scene with the ancient lion turtle. what i have drawn here (as I imagine) would show Aang years after the events of the show, when he is meeting the lion turtle again for whatever reason...

I have only seen a few episodes of Avatar yet but this is very nice. The colours of the sky make the picture look so calm and friendly. I really like it when the light comes from behind, though it feels like the head is too bright, I think the light wouldn't hit the face that much. Looking forward to more artworks by you like this.

yup, i know there is too much light on its face and in the foreground in general. only there were so many drawn details, which i didn't want to 'drown' in a black shadow. about every two weeks i am gonna upload new artworks (but only when they are worth it^^)...

This reminds me The turtle of the Great Bay who appears in The Legend Of Zelda: MajoraΒ΄s Mask.
