Description I've got a different version of Korra up for adoption on etsy! www.etsy.com/ca/listing/191389…

I've succumbed to peer pressure, and finally watched Avatar: Legend of Korra! So plushifying a Korra was inevitable. I also only recently watched the first series (last airbender), and totally fell in love with the ol' gang, so expect more Avatar plushies from me!

Although, from LoK... I really don't know who else to make. o_0 The fandom is very...heated... so I don't know what the concensus is with character popularity (aside from Lin, who we all unanimously love). The only other character that I'm very drawn to is Amon... who is major creepy, but I need to wait until (or if) they reveal his face.

WHO IS EXCITED FOR THE FINALE?!

And do tell me your fave pairing! I find the love square so confusing, that I decided to ship... Amorra.

Wait for hormones to kick in, lol. XD I'm kidding. It depends; sometimes I've incorporated the added chest size into the plush pattern, or sometimes I add it on (like, stitch on an extra piece that's stuffed).

How did you make the solid part for the hair? Did you make a bowl shape from felt and just glued it to the head? If so, how?

I kind of forgot what I did. I usually just cut shapes and shift them around until they fit properly. And when I'm satisfired with the shape, I glue it down.

Hmm, Amorra? Might become a fan, but I like Borra. I don't think Mako is fit for Korra, I like Masami more than Makorra. Besides, Bolin needs love.

They're painted with fine art acrylics.

I have a tutorial in my gallery, in case you'd like to give it a try. It requires dexterity, but the tutorial could give an idea on where to start.

She is beautiful! The detail on the armbands and her hair accessories just blow me away! I was wondering what her hair is and how difficult is it to give your plushies fingers?

Her hair is felt. And fingers aren't hard-- just a little tedious cuz of the shape and the needlesculpting.

I should have know it was felt hair, it just looked different for a moment. Even if the hands are tedious you do a great job!

It's Korra! Have I ever told you that I love you?

I used to ship Bolin/Korra, but now I kind of want Korra/Asami to happen. Or, you know, I'd be fine with all of them just remaining friends. There's so much romance in TV shows that it would be kind of refreshing for a show to skip the romance completely. (But who am I kidding? This is never going to happen.) I just REALLY don't want Mako/Korra to happen because I hate the way the show has been handling Mako.

I also ship Amon/Lieutenant, though that's mostly because of that funny "no sexytimes for you tonight, Lieutenant" post that I've seen floating around Tumblr.

Anyway, I think a plush Amon would be adorable, especially if you included his mask. Plush Asami would be super cute too.

Yeah... the romance of makorra isn't handled very well. I mean, it's okay to have love squares when it's the main plot (like in a shoujo manga/anime)...but when it's a subplot, the content gets stretched too thin and doesn't seem believable (or just makes the characters look like douchebags). :/

LOL Amon/Lieutenant! The jokes on tumblr are hilarious with those two.

haha, I will bring the Korra plushies for convention merch! So I'm making things I enjoy, but also for sale because it's so popular right now.
You should watch Korra online! I couldn't watch it on TV either, but I saw it online.

ATLA is a better show, more balanced and well-developed characters. But Korra is also interesting, with lots of questions and potential. I think I like them equally.

They will also have a 3rd and 4th season! So there will be lots of Korra to come in the next few years. I'm just still so sad that Amon/Noatak is gone. I want him back~~

haha, yess, that's what all Amon fans want to believe! At SanDiego ComicCon, the creators of the series said: "Sorry for blowing up the boat."... and some fans say: "They didn't say 'sorry for killing Noatak and Tarrlok'...they appologized for THE BOAT! Maybe they are still alive!"

Awesome!! I haven't been watching (I work on Saturdays) but that will be changing (I got a new job!) I have seen a little online though and I can't wait to watch more.

It still impresses me how much detail you get into a plushie without it getting cluttered. The furry trim is a nice touch. and the waterbending styling is great too
