Description My favourite tragic star crossed pairing, they are just too damn cute. Gambit may 'step out' of the relationship now and then...but he always comes back to Rouge. Just like a thief to want the one thing he can't touch.

Modeled this style of Gambit off the comic 'House of Cards'.

In case you're confused as to what's going on Rouge's got her hand between them to keep from...you know...killing him.

As for 'stepping out'.  I was referring to the story line in 'House of Cards' where Gambit and Rouge are still together and yet he sleeps with the 'bad girl' of the story.  Then when a video tape of said tryst gets mailed to Rouge he goes to great lengths to get it back before she sees it.

I have a limited knowledge of comics, and no understanding of how comic timelines and all that work.    Seems like those two have like a zillion separate story arcs that doesn't mesh.

you're not the one I'm reading X-Men from 3-4 years and I don't understand many things yet in fact, I searched for them and their story on the web a lot!! Because I liked them in the '90 animated serie!!

She's been able to touch anyone for the past 3 or 4 years now... even though they haven't been a couple since 2006, when she was able to control that ability... Rogue officially dumped Gambit... yeah... they sure are adorable...

I'm not a 'true comic fan'  I've just read a few and if it's one thing I can't keep straight it's comic timelines or arcs.  I've noticed that comic sequence seems to make no sense one arc Gambit is part of the school and about Rougue's about his age, then in Ulimate he's practical the 'bad guy' and twice her age.  In House of Cards they were together and she couldn't touch anything, then in Once a Thief they are freshly broken up but she still gets mad jealous when she finds him with another gal.    Now in the brand new 'Rouge' series Gambit is trying to 'get close' and she's more interested in pushing everyone away.  I kind of assumed that each author put their own spin on things.

Thanks!  They are adorable.  They are back to their old style relationship in the new Rouge line of comics. I'm not sure if they are going to do more in the series or just the first volume.
