Rats are the best! I got them both at petsmart actually. But you can look for a rat breeder on line or craighslist and probably get a healthier higher quality rat.

Yeah I was looking up basic info on them and i saw how many babies they can typically have in ONE litter and i just about flipped out of my chair. I was like "jesus, 15!" 😂 i decided right there i better not get a boy and a girl. Ha ha

Yeah, do NOT get a boy and a girl! You'll have rats everywhere! But get at least two, rats need one another. Get boys if you want a lazy friends to hang out with you. Get girls if you want curious trouble makers who want to learn tricks and explore.

Those very pretty...but be careful, it take four recessive genes to get that color and some breeders will heavily inbred to get it leading to other recessive genetic faults that can affect health and longevity.

Not a problem. A lot of the really fancy colors are due to a combination of recessive genes and getting those genes is easiest by inbreeding.
