I just got a hold of the coyote in the middle. I've never seen one like it! I'd call it a 'silver'. The top is a normal yote, the bottom is a traditional black.Related content

I'm trying out a new tanner and he gave to me for free! It's been in his freezer the past year from a customer who never paid for the tan or came back to get it!

I know! It've never seen one like it. It's taxidermy tanned, but the skinner chopped up the ears. It think i can fix it.

The yote is resisting being rehydrated. I may not be able to mount him till tomorrow.

His nose is rehydrating well, it's his bottom lip that is being a pain in the butt.

he was nicely rehydrated this morning. His left ear is only hanging on by a tiny flap, but I can fix that.

I've had pelts come to me with their ears torn right off! Yup. I'll have WIP later tonight!

I dub your pelt the second hardest I've ever worked with. 
The first hardest was an ancient bobcat with no stretch.
I have started mounting, but since the eyes aren't done (I always wait a day of drying before doing eyes) he's really scary looking. I'll do pics once the eyes are in.
His one ear was not only hanging on by a thread it was also blown (the skin on the back side was disconnected from the skin on the front side). As a result I had to be a little creative, so he'll have smaller ears than a normal yote.
If he wasn't black this pelt would have been unmountable, but with the black fur it can hide a few sins.

Not much smaller, just gives him more of an over grown fox look than a big old eared yote

He'll be just fine when I'm done with him. giggle. he does have a bit of a 'feral' look due to the cat eyes, the pupils are really small.

They sent me the small pupil. They mispick stuff every now and then and sometimes I catch it and sometimes I don't. I should have noticed this, but they were so new to me.
