That's a great price for a piebald! Have you gotten it tanned yet?
I found I needed to tweak this form to keep the otter from looking like it had a broken back. 
Let me know when you get around to mounting it! I'd love to see pics if you have them.

I'll post pics on my page if I ever get to the mount lol. I tanned it within the year I bought it, which was waaaay back LOL. It's wet tanned and frozen. I have so much stuff in my freezers I never get too. I am eager to tan and mount my first ever taken coyote too, which I trapped this last season.

This was a total stroke of luck! The private tanner that I use noticed how many pied deer I was sending him and mentioned that his trapper friend had caught a pied otter years previous and he'd tried to mount it himself half way through he realized that taxidermy was harder than he'd though so he put the whole unfinished mount in the freezer (it was in a sitting pose) and left it there for years. Uncertain if it could be saved he sold it to me for 300$ and I soaked it off his form and presto!

Yes, but it's 5,000$ (free shipping to the Lower 48). Piebald otter are insane rare.

I hope to! I was going to this year, but the competition was too soon in the year. I still need to do the touch up work (I haven't gotten to the weeds yet).

i never liked that mannikin. looks like it has a broken back. but i like your concept of yin and yang here!

I did a lot of changes to the manikin to make it less broken back like. Although the original form was carcass cast and won the world champ! Giggle.

It's a pied otter, I got it from a tanner who got it from a guy who half mounted it in a sitting pose and placed it in his freezer for a few years. I'm not sure where that guy got the otter, but I assume he got it from a trapper.
