Description
You were having a very pleasant dream. One where you were walking in a sunflower field with wind that tickled your skin and made your (h/c) hair flow gently. The sunflowers swayed with the wind, creating a yellow sea of waves. The sky was a big, bright bowl of blue with white, fluffy clouds that reminded you of whipped cream.
The dream could have gone on forever if it weren't for your stupid alarm clock.
You slammed your fist on it, wondering why you had set your alarm clock on a Saturday. The answer dawned on you when you realized that you had a date with your best friend today. You were supposed to go shopping with her even though you had already done so last Saturday. But she made you come back with her today because the store she went in last time didn't have the dress she wanted in her size.
You rolled out of bed, groaning as you whipped your hair back. Your feet had just touched the ground when you felt a pair of strong arms wrap around your waist.
"Ah! Clint, you scared me!" you chided your boyfriend.
He pulled you back against his chest where he nuzzled your neck.
"Where are you going?" he yawned.
"To the mall with Nina," you said. "I told you about this on Friday, remember?"
"Friday?" he grumbled underneath his breath.
For a moment you thought that he had somehow fallen asleep again since he didn't say another word after that. You looked back to see his eyes closed, a sleepy smile on his lips. Clint looked absolutely adorable when he was sleeping but you didn't have the time to stare lovingly at his face. You wiggled out of his embrace. You managed to get free and stand up before Clint surprised you again and pulled you back on the bed. You blew a strand of hair away from your eyes. When you tried to get out of his embrace again, his grip on you only tightened.
“You’re not going to let me go so easily, aren’t you?”
“No,” he mumbled. “I want you to stay in bed with me.”
“But I promised Nina that I would go with her today…”
“Screw Nina.”
“Clint,” you warned.
“(Name),” he mocked your tone.
You sighed, Clint sighing afterwards as well. Him being a master assassin and a skilled archer as well as being apart of the Avengers, getting away from him today wouldn’t be so easy. It wasn’t like you didn’t have a few tricks up your sleeve as well. An idea popped in your head, making you grin.
“Okay fine,” you sighed, rolling over so that you were now on top of him. “I’ll stay in bed with you. I don’t think Nina would mind anyways.”
“That’s my little bird,” he cooed, placing a kiss on your forehead.
Clint then wrapped his arms around your waist and leaned back against the bed. His eyes fluttered closed and you rested your head on his chest. When you heard his heart sped up when you hand touched his chest, you smiled. The fact that Clint still reacted this way around you made you feel like the luckiest girl in the world. His heart beat eventually slowed down and his breathing evened. Once you were sure that he was asleep, you cautiously got out of his grasp. This time when your feet touched the floor, there were no arms coming from behind to pull you back.
You quickly left the bedroom, and headed for the shower. It looked like you were going to be able to escape the house after all. You took off your pajamas and were about to step in the tub when you noticed that you ran out of shampoo. Turning around to go to the bathroom cabinet, you screamed when you saw Clint standing in the doorway.
“Is it your job to give me a heart attack today?” you snapped, hitting his shoulder with a towel.
He was clearly unaffected. His eyes wandered down to your waist where he raised an eyebrow.
“What do you want?” you put your hands on your hips. “And my eyes are up here, Clint.”
“Huh?” he snapped out of it. “Right. Sorry. Anyways, (Name), get back in bed.”
“Why must you be so persistent?”
“Because I love you,” he teased.
You had a stare down with him. He was obviously not going to let you go past him so easily. He would most likely throw you over his shoulder and take you back to bed. Clint wasn’t always like this. The reason why he was being so attached today was because Nina had really been taking up a lot of your time. When Clint wasn’t busy on missions, Nina had you stuck to her like glue. This was the main reason why he disliked your friend. Today he had had enough of her and just wanted to spend the day with you in bed. You would have complied but you were honestly hoping to come back home with some sexy lingerie for Clint.
“Are you wearing a thong?” Clint asked suddenly.
You looked down and blushed immediately since you were.
“Yeah so?” you crossed your arms over your chest. “What’s the big deal?”
“Sorry I’m just used to you not wearing underwear around me,” he chuckled, grinning when he saw your cheeks turning an even brighter shade of red. “But this is really sexy too.”
You pushed past him in embarrassment but it was no use. Just as expected, Clint grabbed your arms and lifted you off the ground. You kicked and struggled but it was no use. Now you seriously regretted not taking some martial arts classes like Natasha had insisted. Clint threw you over his shoulder with ease and walked back to the bedroom where he plopped you down on the bed. He hovered over you, his body dropping on yours with a thud.
Well, now you were trapped.
“Clint!” you laughed, finding the situation to be funny. “Come on, get off!”
No matter how hard you pushed it simply wouldn’t do.
“Nope,” he muttered, a smirk on his lips. “You’re staying in bed with me today.”
“But Cliiiiint!” you whined. Damn was your boyfriend heavy. “Dear God! What is it that you eat?”
“Well,” he grinned. “Funny you should ask since I eat y—”
“I said eat, not eat out!” you slapped him upside the head.
“And the difference is….?”
“I’m going to kill you.”
“Love you too, cupcake.”
Your phone rang and luckily for you it wasn’t out of reach. You stretched your arm as best as you could to reach the nightstand and took hold of your phone. It was Nina on the other end. You tried not to groan as her high pitched voice shrieked at you for not being outside of your house already. Nina was a good friend of yours who had been through a lot with you but damn could she be annoying sometimes.
“(Name)! Why aren’t you outside already?” she whined. “I thought you wanted to come shopping with me. You promised, remember?”
“I know, Nina,” you sighed, running a hand through your (h/c) locks.
Clint’s ears perked up when he heard Nina’s voice on the other end. Your eyes locked with his and just by looking at him, you could tell what he was about to do.
‘Don’t you dare’, you mouthed.
‘Watch me’.
You squirmed underneath him as he tried to take the phone away from you. On the other end, Nina was trying to ask you what all that noise was. You heard her honk her car outside, signaling that she wanted you to hurry up with whatever you were dealing with. You struggled on your grip with the phone as Clint tried to pry it away from your fingers. Not only was he heavy but he was strong.
As if to make matters worse, Clint started to tickle you! You giggled and screamed as he found all your tickle spots and abused them. Your face had become cherry red and you felt like you couldn’t breath. One hand was holding onto the phone for dear life while the other was clutching your side that hurt from laughing so much.
“Clint stop!” you gasped for air.
“Make me, little bird,” he smirked.
“(Name), what’s going on?” Nina asked.
With one final tug, Clint took the phone and put it to his ear.
“No!” you cried, trying to get it back but he had you pinned down.
“Hello, Nina?” Clint smirked. “Yeah this is (Name)’s boyfriend, Clint….Yeah, yeah Hawkeye, Avengers—you know the deal. I know we haven’t had the chance to really meet and I know this is probably asking so much,” he said sarcastically. “But I would really like to spend the day with my girlfriend….What’s she doing right now?”
He looked down at your pissed off face that was mouthing the words, “I’m going to kill you”, over and over again. His grin only broadened.
“Yeah….she’s busy. Welp, bye Nina!”
And just like that he hung up the phone.
He tossed it to some far corner of the room where it hit a pile of clothes. Clint then snuggled into your warm skin and his eyes closed once more so that he could go back to sleep.
“I hate you,” you stated.
“Told you I was going to make you stay in bed with me.”
“I was going to get some sexy lingerie for you at the mall but...oh wells,” you trailed off with a sigh.
At this Clint’s eyes opened.
“I did not think this one through.”
