Hellooo, I come from project comment.
I’ll just make some opinions on this drawing, you probably know how it works hee hee (?)
Alright, the pose and the context of this piece is interesting. However the anatomy kinda bothers me. I feel like the girl’s arm (the one the guy is holding and pulling(I think he’s pulling it?) it’s just a liiiittle bit too long and it looks like it is broken. I’d recommend you to first learn a bit of human anatomy to know how long limbs are. Also, for making your poses less stiff, I’ll recommend you to learn gesture. I think It’s a great exercise to practice poses like this one.
Now the colors used aren’t bad, in my opinion I think the shading should have been more solid. I don’t know if you used the airbrush, but if you did I suggest to use it only to make the shading deeper (don’t overuse it tho). Also, maybe you should try to shade with colors that aren’t just the base color but darker. There’s a lot colors to use! Plus, using different types of layers(Multiply and Overlay are great for shading imo) could really make the colors look better.
I like the background idea. It’s really cool! I would only suggest, again, to make more solid shades. I think it would go better with your style.
tl;dr the concept of this drawing is great, I think you only need to practice a bit more. Don’t worry! It will come with time. Just keep going ❤︎

"Tell me Heather, do you play interdimensional chess?"
"All the time"
In all seriousness I'm interested to find out what the context behind this is. If the floating chess boards and twisted perspective is to show that these two are in their own little world. If they really are interdimensional chess players stuck forever playing the game until they can find an opponent who they can defeat and thus escape from this twisted dimension?
Or maybe the two of them just happen to like dancing while reality crumbles apart around them... Which is honestly more fitting than it seems given that Alice seems to like the fact that this is happening while Heather seems pretty nonplussed about the situation.

Feel free to use them as you want dude. Either way the background looks pretty snazzy in how trippy and distorted the background looks.

Well it'll definitely make your mornings much more interesting looking at some trippy artwork than the dull colour of your wall.
Then again for all I know that wall could be the most fascinating piece of plaster in existence.

Then that artwork being put up on the wall will make it a vast improvement.
Also your vent may be haunted by ghosts/a demon child chained up in your attic now set loose inside the ventilation system/Your air conditioner seeking revenge.

Aww Phoenix *hugs*
On the bright side he seemed to be a benevolent ghost at the very least, leaving when he knew he upset you.
