Living a life of deceit, Ara has learnt to become focused in his daily life - often playing close attention to body language and the tone of voice while he is conversing with a fellow civilian. Consequently, his focus is vital for him to achieve his goals, thus making him a very concentrated and very attentive individual. Additionally, Ara has learnt to become decisive in his daily life - otherwise he would still be living with his parents and not traveling around from place to place. His decisiveness often allows others to relax in the knowledge that he's concise and knows what he wants and what he thinks is best in particular circumstances.

Ara is a very sarcastic individual - to the extent where his sarcasm can sometimes be transparent, making it difficult to tell whether he is actually joking. This can often lead to much confusion when in conversation and can come across as insulting to other individuals due to his mocking nature, however he often does not intend to put fire into his words and expects others to take his words lightly. Despite his jarring attitude, Ara is particularly quiet among others - due to the fact that he doesn't want to give away unnecessary information to others in case it 'blows his cover' as a heartless thief from a far away land.

Though decisive, Ara's a very fussy person when it comes to the things that he wants. Especially, the specifics of what he wants. From the food that he eats to how he decorates his treasures, he wants it all to be perfect. Evidently, this is often his worst trait as he'll never seem to hesitate to pick out everything he dislikes. Additionally, Ara is pretty single-minded. Having grown up in waters that did not speak to him and talking to people he never actually respected, Ara is very unaware of his surroundings, and tends to affect the way he thinks and the things he says to others.

Ara's never lived in one space in particular through most years of his life, often traveling from different freshwater areas, barely keeping a connection with his family. Though he knew them by name, by appearance and by voice, he had left home during his younger years to travel through different areas. Soon in his older years, he had taken to finding items and treasures that lay in the lowest of waters, often selling them as valuables to the 'creatures who lived on land' (a.k.a. humans and the like) on the shores of lakes and rivers, being seen as a mythical creature that only appeared 'once in a blue moon' or something as ridiculous as rumors said. (Despite the fact that he really just showed up whenever he wanted.)

However, he soon had himself mixed up with magic through those who had paid him visits on these eerie nights. With a valuable trade, he had been given the ability to walk on land with proper legs, which was very useful for trade indeed. Over the years, his habits had taken a turn for the worse, exploiting civilians by tempting them with his 'merman abilities' - his appearance being enough to convince civilians that he was not, in fact, human - and unfortunately for these people, he ended up looting them. Ara never really found a use for the things he stole, and only marveled at the pretty, clean metals and jewels he was unable to find in the shallow waters.

Though his actions were not ignored and he soon became a wanted thief in the previous area he lived in, and thus wandered off to Prima - a land that was very far from the previous land he lived in - hoping that the people who inhabited that area were unaware of the things he had done previously. He only hopes that no one knows most of what he sells is stolen.

> Able to turn human at will. Although there is no specific time limit as to how long he can stay on dry land, he'll suffocate when he's without contact with water - drinking water / water in a bath won't suffice. Often only stays on land for a day at most.
> Very stealthy - quick to take or nick a valuable or two. However, he's not at Prima to steal and is quite a futile skill to him.

I prefer lit and semi-lit over script! Even when trying script, it turns into lit, so yeah. I'm often online but I am also pretty forgetful since I don't really make replies my top priority because of school and all that jazz, so feel free to poke me if I take a while to reply! I'm also up for headcanons - the paragraph kind, not so much the quick one-liners, if that makes sense.
