Description
Not much of a story behind this one. The other day my better half bought me a bunch of Lillies, so I sat down & sketched one of them...and then I kept sketching.....and this is the result!Yay - my muse is back *ahem*
Well, hope y'all like her.
...Also, this will probably be one of my submissions for Imagine 2006 - talk about leaving things to the last minute! (darn muse....grumble...)

I needed something else in the painting to tie the green colour in the Lily to - so the eyes worked out well for that!

I agree with the other peeps up above--- you're getting better all the time. I'm impressed by the transparency of the wing and subtleness of the shading on the cheek. You did an excellent job on the lily; how nice it is to get a bunch of flowers!

Thanks again! Yep, I've submitted the maximum of 4 - mainly because I really can't pick which 1 I'd want published if I am chosen to be a part of it all..... That way somebody else gets stuck with the awful task of culling!

LOL, but laying down lots of washes is time consuming and a little frustrating, but so worth the time and energy in the end
