In which Dark(?)Jareth is trolled right out of his would-be callous demeanour, go Sarah. And awww, lookit all that actual show of genuine appreciation and polite inter -- oh, bugger. I got distracted by Jareth's face the first time around but when I went back (to stare at his brilliantly colored handsome face a THIRD time) I noticed Sir Didymus throwing that bird-hat laughed sooooo hard!

Mood Armor / Clothing... now with Mood Collars! (loving how the adjustment of the collar so wonderfully helps in conveying the shifting mood / emotion in panels... ummm... 6 and 7, I think. The ones that are that LOVELY middle-section Jareth).
And... I can imagine that Sarah kept her hands on his chest up until she gestures at her own face, right? 
I can hear the tenderness in Jareth's voice at the start of that last line, when he says "Ah - your cheek". I'd say it's, what, 95% genuine concern, 4 1/2 % simply wanting to return the touch, and only 1/2% vaguely hoping to begin something-leading-to-seduction? Which, naturally, is why Sarah was uncomfortable in the next panel. Gentleman!Jareth is something fairly new, after all.
It's a good thing that it's Luna and Didymus (and Ambrosius) and the still-Silencio'd hat in the background, instead of Pirate King Lizzie or someone who'd demand to get involved in the OMG!DRAMA. And it's good for Jareth to experience the rapidly-shifting mood / approach / perspective of Sarah apart from the Fail-Field. Sarah as Mortal Human Girl (Canny Human Dream Girl), reacting to the strong but-not-creepy message that Jareth conveys in his desire to tend to her wounds... I hope that he sees / knows that overall, this is a win...
Except for that pesky lost pendant. Oops!

Ha. Hate to harsh your fun-having, but that shift in collar angle between close-up panels has a lot to do with making sure the antics of Didymus in the background are visible enough... 
As for the exact emotional constitution of the various undercurrents here. For a change Jareth almost does some defusing of the Moment by attempting a would-be-scornful-'cept-he-doesn't-sound-the-least-bit-miffed [this time] with that "anyway this wasn't just to rescue you, little girl". It's rare that he goes for his movie-scenes-style blowing-cold attitude with Sarah in-comic, but that is a dynamic I like to ressucitate at points. But maybe he is concerned at showing too strong a response to her open appreciation... ^^. And he is also hella bothered by her bleeding cheek - a shame I went with the profiles that hide that from us - and definitely wants to deal with that before upping the flirting.
The thing is, Sarah obviously knows enough shipping tropes to tell when Jareth is angling for them (she calls him out on the goodnight kiss scenario - and generally knows the fanservice is out to get her), so she is pretty damn instinctively leery of a wound-tending touchy h/c scene.

Yeah, the background antics, too. 
So Jareth opts to help defuse, seeing that he doesn't find it fun to play at being almost Dark when Sarah's not going along with it. And we do enjoy the movie-scenes-style blowing-cold attitude with Sarah moments!
What would have been the arcane consequences, had Sarah let Jareth tend to that wound? Since he mentioned that it would be "just following your advice, love" for context, I would think that it wouldn't be an irrevocable connection, but Fae / magic lore hasn't even been a strong suit for me.
And again, the fans bemoan Sarah's genre-savvyness. By now, she's developing a habit of trying not to be automatically suspicious of everything that Jareth does, so EVENTUALLY she'll allow some wound-tending type of caring from him, right? Right? Pleeeeeeease!

I hope I have stated enough how much I loving love this comic.
However, I find something missing in these panels. I don't see Sarah with a sweatshirt. OK, she matured in the movie and all that, but... Orange sweatshirt? There's some costume porn missing in here. Is there such a thing as wardrobe fanservice? I mean... It's sarah... I miss her poet's blouse or something similar. I guess she matured, she's fed up with the stalker and now she likes "real life" much more than fantasy, but... I miss a bit of the lovely dresses. Sorry, probably your Sarah wouldn't wear that stuff... It's the fangirl inside, wanting glimmer XD
I'm off to tell LouisaGallie how awesome her coloring is. It must be stated and engraved in rock and all that.
