Oh the scanner of mine... Why do you rrrrrrape the colors of my watercolor works?
This I made for as her graduation card.

No, I don't dislike cheerfull charas.... But all....?? That's tooo much, don't you think....?? Bah. Not sure if the chibiness is bad: I love chibis...!! But for me, the only worthy chara from FFIX is Vivi... Yay for cute black mages....!!

i wish i could do watercolors. i tried a couple years ago, and it turned out a disaster. never have i done it since (plus, i was like 10, so i sucked...) haha nice picture. i like it

hmm yea i should try again... i make good oil paintings... but watercolors is different. yea i know that paper that ur talkin about. it like, stops the colors from bleeding or something... not sure. haha i was just so scared to ever watercolor again after that last catastrophe XD

XD Scanners are crap, but one must count on them night and day if one is to transmit art to the computer without additional darkening! Mou... last time I used mine, it mangled my sketch and almost none of the colors came out. And of the ones that did, I had to mess around Photoshop to get them right. And that was with colored pencil! >.<
I don't know who this character is, but the colors are SO clean and bright, regardless of what you say! If this is what you call bad, then your original must be so much better! Never scanned watercolors before, but I do know that scanners hate copic markers, too. And those tiny beads ...! How do you control your brush so well?!

Ehehe... I haven't done watercolor in many years. And that was when I was using those kiddie kits with the really bad brushes @.@ Maybe that's what you mean by good brushes?
Last time I scanned in a copic marker piccie, the skin tones looked really light and really yellow instead of tannish, and the black looked really gray.

How do you make your watercolours so clean?
Does your scanner make the colours look a bit faded? I'm sure you can correct it in photoshop if it does, or change the settings of your scanner to not do it so bright, then just mess around in photoshop to get the colours how you want it to precisely look.

I can't use my watercolours well XD The same colour changes several times due to water concentration and then bits run around the place.
