The next-largest terrestrial predator of its ecosystem a huge distance after this one , Troodon formosus in all its pissed-off glory. Everything between that? Ask the likes of this guy or the juveniles of the other tyrant up there.

My previous iteration of this all-time favorite can be seen here . More extensive leg wings, more extensive in terms of ankle-to-end of tail-feather frond, although _severely_ less extensive in terms of individual feather size. Don't know if it looks like it, but it's meant to be just that. I figured it might be likely for this to happen, considering the many "hard" anatomical changes between things like Jinfengopteryx and all those Tiaojishan avialan well-wishers on one hand, and this animal on the other; plus, the smaller the rectrices, the less likely I am to screw them up as I did in my previous Troodon, where they look like a poorly tacked-on vertical afterthought.
