what resources did you use to make the fractal trees? that would be helpful

a lovely entry for the contest, and very nice work with ESA fractal trees! I think you've got lake mapping on the moon layer... easily fixed if you decide to give it a go!

Thank you...
The ripples in the moon bother me too but I couldn't figure out why it was doing that so I just left it the way it is...

Maybe look at the mapping for that layer, maybe you accidentally kept the rippples from the other layers when you added that layer on, I know I've done that before

Thank you...
This was actually my first REAL attempt at it. I had always tried to use the color algo before but like you I could never come up with anything. You just have to keep at it and mess around with the settings long enough to figure out how things work. Also, if you search for help files, like I did, they're help ALOT too...

Are you calling me crazy...? J/K This more than likely will be my entry, I don't think I'll come up with anything better and I'm proud of the general idea I came up with and the execution of it.
I'm surprised more people haven't done UF trees before. It's not difficult but at the same time it takes a minute to get the right look. I would have thought that more advanced fractal artists would have done it but like you've said I've only seen maybe 1 or 2 people use it. I was gonna go to the UF journal and ask if anyone knew how to do it but I realize that might not of helped lol...

Wow...I couldn't believe this was a fractal myself when I first saw it!b

Guarded secrets...maybe not necessarily guarded, it just took some looking for...
All I'll tell you is if you do a search for it you'll more than likely find it...If you can't find it then MAYBE i'll tell you where I found it...lol
Thanks for the comments by the way...

Actually, the water effect was used in UF, the only other program I used was illustrator for the frame and text...
Thank you by the way...
