I really liked her with long hair. And I don't really like the way she looks in vol 4 and beyond. But I suppose she was supposed to look...singed.
I am not very happy with the lineart and I need to work more on shading, but this was honestly fun!

Heh, I loved her long hair too. I was rather disappointed with the direction they took Cinder in for volume 4 onward; they spent so long building her up as the evil mastermind, so suddenly seeing her reduced to a henchman who barely has any screentime in volume 4 was honestly kinda jarring. Volume 5 at least brought her back to how she was for the first three volumes, but I still miss when she was calling the shots in terms of villains. I loved watching her evil plan build up for the first three volumes, trying to figure out what she was up to, and when it all reaches its climax and everything falls apart around the heroes... suddenly she's nothing more than a yes-woman.

Seriously! It's kind of sad. I guess maybe it was to show that there was something bigger going on? But still, you're right. And idk like did she die in vol 5? I don't think she did it it looked ominous

That's what bugs me. I thought she was the bigger thing going on, and I really enjoyed her in volumes 1-3. Her sleek, attractive design, the air of ominous mystery surrounding her, how she always operates within the shadows, Jessica Nigri's smooth, sinister voice acting performance, and watching the heroes try in vain to figure out what she was up to. It doesn't help that I find Salem a rather boring villain so far. She's got an air of ominous mystery, has a smooth, sinister voice, operates within the shadows, what exactly she's up to is unknown... every quality that Cinder had, making her feel like a generic and uninteresting "big bad" to me.

Hahahaha, yesssss. She's only done three other voice acting roles, so I was surprised at how well she did. And glad to know I'm not the only one in love with early Cinder. <3
Hmmm, tough call. I'll narrow it down to three:
-Weiss. I couldn't stand her early on, but she's grown so much as a character.
-Yang. Love her design and especially her personality. I honestly thought she had good reason to be mad at Blake in volume 5.
-Nora. Hands down the funniest character for me, usually has the funniest lines in whatever episodes she's in.

Actually I agree with all three! In that actual order too!
Weiss is my favorite because I can relate a lot with her. She is somewhat stubborn and aloof at first but really has a caring side when you get to know her.
And Yang because Yang is just so strong, beautiful, and amazing!
And everyone knows why we all love Nora...
Other than that, I really like Jaune. I like how he is beginning to develop. I think he's gonna whoop some a** in the next volume!

I feel so bad for Jaune because Cinder's funniest moment comes at his expense.
"You just keep standing there with that damn smile on your face! SAY SOMETHING!"
"...Who are you again?"
I died at that part. But his big moment with Weiss in volume 5 felt like such a nice payoff for all the goofy romancing moments he had with her earlier on in the series.
What I love about RWBY is that, even if the story itself has gotten messy at times, the characters keep me coming back. There are few I would say I hate, and the only one I hate who has a significant role in the story is Adam.

I really didn't care for Blake in volume 4, either. She spent all that time bashing herself for running away, and what does she do after the fall of Beacon? Run away! And her father just so happens to be the chief of Menagerie and ex-high leader of the White Fang? Gee, that might've been nice to know earlier.
...Sorry, I just kinda don't like volume 4. Volume 5 gets a lot of flak, but I think it's much better between the two.
I loved Pyrrha so much. Her design, her powers, her personality... and her death just felt unnecessary. I know Monty Oum had it planned well before his passing, but I still think they could've done more with her.
...Though between Pyrrha, Penny, and Roman Torchwick, I can see why I saw one person on YouTube refer to the fall of Beacon as "the redhead purge". xD
