Updated 06/08/2015: Added 2015 and combined a few old ones to make this shorter. Sorry, age is till hidden. I do not seek compliments but hope to inspire those thatdecide to walk down the same path as mine.
I bet you thought "who the heck draws like that" when looking at the first drawings at top XD
Almost the whole meme is filled with traditional stuff, because I started digital art roughly a few years ago.
It's funny so see my style changes each year without ever taking artclass.
Before 2005 I drew everything in my "own style" before getting addicted to anime style. I really disliked to color, because I thought it would make it ugly, so most drawings are black-white.
Some drawings look hilarious to me, especially the one from 2005 on the far right (it is supposed to be realism LOL). And the drawing of sailormoon from 2005. I don't know why I kept those lolz.
It's suprisingly I didn't throw any old drawings away and even wrote the date down. There are more old stuff, but I doubt anyone would be interested to look at it xD"
My favorite years
2005: Nostalgic year filled with a lot drawings made for my cousin and my stories. The amount is even more compared to the digital drawings I made till now.
2006: Started with anime style.
2008: I found a lot drawings from this year too. Sadly this is the year where I stopped drawing traditionally.
2013 July - Decemer: Getting more satisfied about my art, though I still haven't found my style yet.
2014: I'm starting to find a style, also not limiting myself to only line-arted works.
2015: Working on more details and dynamic. Used artworks:

what did you do to perform this radical change about your technics and general improvements ?
I can't draw an eye the way i would love, in fact it's flat and ugly.

im a self taught artist, yet i feel like i've hardly improved (if anything i feel like im forgetting skills i once learn) did you study anything - like lessons/tutorials/etc? i feel so lost when it comes to trying to improve

Sorry that I'm just seeing this comment now but I was pretty much in the same boat that you're, or were, in. What really helped me pass that curve was Sakimi-Chan's tutorials, a few books off Amazon, and daily gesture drawings. The books I got off amazon were Color and Light by James Gurney and Light for the Visual Artist by Richard Yot. For gestures, all you need to do is practice for 5 mins a day. When you're practicing always look for patterns in the reference material. When you do tutorials practice what you've learned more than once and try to apply it to your own style. Lastly, don't give up :3

How did you even start going about getting human anatomy good and the dynamic poses with ought them looking unproportioned and weird/stiff

Omg, this inspires me a lot ;w; Cause right now my skills and how i feel is like your 2011, just with tablet- last year i had almost given up drawing, but now i realize i do wanna improve, though i still felt powerless, i though, yeah i probably could improve but not as much as ~the pro's~, and it'd take way too long. But now i see that even in ~4 years i CAN improve if i want to and try.

With the right motivation and patience the first levels are easy to climb up, because right now my improvements are slowing down.
You only have to throw the thought of "I can never..." away. After that just go crazy and achieve everything you want!
Do you best, it can be even shorter if you focus on a very few things. To be honest I felt 4 years were slow because I was blocked

Yeah, you're right!! Now im brimming with excitement to improve ahah thank you!! Im not sure where and how to exactly start, but i'll like...google it or something, for each thing i wanna learn (anatomy, coloring etc) could be a seperate way to practice it best, i think.

I'm trying to improve especially on coloring and dynamic poses and BG (lol almost everything) but it's just like you know, I'm not satisfied with my own style and it just frustrate me... I'm drawing since kindergarden and started drawing with the tablet between 2012-2013? but when I'm seeing there're so much people improving faster than me in a shorter period I'm just feeling kind of depressed

How difficult it may be, I never hide it behind something. Even though I have always been drawing hands, I'm still bad at them hahaha--

I wish I had the motivation you do ;w; A couple years ago when I started drawing I had alot of motivation to draw and get better but as the person I am right now, I lose motivation so fast and have been 'art blocked' for so long now...........
