Your characters always have such personality and your art is so clean and professional. It's always nice to see images like this from you!

Have you ever tried using displacement in Photoshop? Sometimes it can be really useful for making patterns conform realistically to folds and movement of clothing.

Aww thanks you so much!
I admit that the folds of clothing are notΒ my forte andΒ to this day I'm still learning how to use photoshop.Still I do not know many properties.Β ;w;

Oh I didn't mean to suggest that your clothing folds needed work, they're really well done! What caught my attention was that the pattern on the dress wasn't being affected by the folds, and I just wanted to mention that you can use Displacement in Photoshop to kinda make patterns or textures react to light and dark areas automatically and look like they're being folded. It's one of those Photoshop features that is almost always overlooked until you stumble upon someone who was able to put it to good use (which is how I learned about it).Β Β

Take care!

Oh, i know! But its true... folds are difficult specially because they varies by each textile.
Also im not so good with patterns, i don't know in deep the tools of PS not even Displacement tool (Its avaible on PS CS3? ) , but now you're mentioning itΒ I will start to practice. I have not to much characters who uses textures on their clothes (Just Mafani and Calico Jack) i think they are perfect to practice!
Thanks you!
Your comments always are very helpfull! Β

Thank you, I certainly didn't want to sound like I was trying to point out something wrong with your art.Β  Β  If you're ever interested in experimenting with that kind of displacement, here are two tutorials (the first one is where I learned about it).

I *think* CS3 can do it, but I didn't learn about it until I had CS6, hehe.Β  By the way, did you animate your avatar? It's really fluid and looks professional!
