Description
Close-up of my just-finished, hand-painted Randall Boggs hoodie, done in acrylic paint(no, it won't wash off). Disney apparently isn't going to release any Randall-related clothing anytime soon, so I decided to paint my own, after spotting a new shipment of purple hoodies at Wal-Mart!Randall Boggs is property of Disney-Pixar.

Thank you! I got to wear it today for the first time since painting it, since this was the first day that it was actually cold enough for a jacket!

Excellent concept here, the details on Randall, from his scales to his toothy grin, are second to none. I love the illusion of him grabbing on to the hoodie as well.

Yeah, so do I! Of course, we don't even know if Randall will be in the sequel, or how he'll be treated, or if he IS in the sequel, if the Disney-Pixar merchandise people will once again decide he's not worth having much merchandise in his likeness, like they did before.

Yep, they missed out on a golden opportunity there by listening to their marketing "experts" instead of fans! They initially made that same mistake with Stitch, when they grossly underestimated the numbers of adult and teen fans that HE would attract, who'd want clothing, coffee mugs, collectibles, etc., with Stitch's likeness, and they only made stuff for little kids. Stitch fans, though, were quick to write to them and demand stuff for people their age, and eventually Disney gave in. If you look at this place(DA)and look at FF.net, AND take into consideration that Randall is the only character who still has an active message board devoted to him, it's pretty clear that he still does have plenty of fans, and fans that are really dedicated, too. I don't think that Disney or Pixar saw that coming, but hopefully, both in terms of his role in the sequel AND up-coming merchandise, they will fix that.

Nice! I really like the detail of the folds of the fabric so it looks like he's actually clinging onto the hoodie. AWESOME.
