I think a critique should be taken a little more seriously. While I do agree, this piece is very beautiful and interesting to look at, critiques are meant to give the artist constructive feedback so they can improve their work. Or, they can explain why the piece works so well. Please, keep that in mind next time you write a critique on someones art

Like all your other peices of artwork, this is absolutely stunning.
The first thing I noticed was the almost random splatter of the makeup. This creates a real feeling of rain, like the rain actually fell onto her face and coloured her.

The blue shimmer on the eyelashes is beautiful, it adds just the right touch to the green-gold of the eye to the blue outside. It makes the colours work even better then they do.
Speaking of colour, I love the sparkles on this one~! There are different tones of sparkles, and they seem very alive, thriving, where they are. I'm not one who usually like sparkles, but you did a good job with theese e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
The brush strokes are very neat on this peice, and seem to flake, like the world is peeling away from itself from lack of rain. I dunno, maybe that's just my interpertation of it, but that, to me, seems like a very cool concept.
Also, the eye in general, is just, stunning. It looks alert, yet quiet. Watching, but not acting. This also adds yet another nice touch.

This is great. The diamonds really add to it. The blue hues really help the eye stand out. Its so realaxing, yet the eye seems alert..like if the world is dying but there seems so much peace. And the eyelashes, HOO WE! It looks like they are frozen! A beauty within is this art! I just cant stop staring at the eye! That's what caught my attention mostly. The mix of blue hues on the eye makes the outer blue seem... more realistic! And on the bottom left corner it looks like the paint is slightly peeling, giving it a more Eye catching view. The sparkle and shine all over the image sets off the perfect combination with the gradiating shades of blue to give the viewer a true sense of the concept of water! Not only that, but one could also think of our galaxy's swirling hues and shapes that look very similar to the make-up's pattern, thus bringing to mind just how important a simple substance is to such a large world.
However, if the eyelid had been slightly more closed to give a calmer look, it might allow the viewer to look less at the eye itself and look more closely at the detail surrounding the eye, to prevent all the work gone into the area around the eye from going un-noticed.

I don't think that the work done around the eye goes unnoticed, however the large space that the white of the eye takes in the picture is what can attract too much attention and is a little bit "blinding". If her pupil had been in the centre of her eye, that is if she had been looking straight in front of her instead of looking at us, the problem might have been solved.
