I tried another shadowing technic here and I'm *not* opleased with the resoult >
It wasen't hard to draw it anyway. But it was certainly easy to mess it up. Oh well, better luck next time I guess. Ones learn by their mistakes... heh...
Also, I can help myself but I almost always all wasp-like creatures female just so I can draw that eggpipe

I'm not sure why you aren't pleased with the result of this picture, it's sleek and captures Scyther's quick and deadly grace. Your interpretations of bugs are spot on in most cases, and this is probably the best one yet.

I love the fact that you made scyther a pure insect as opposed to reptilian, and some people might suggest. I'm surprised this scyther didn't get lots of hatered for that reason, and I'm pretty glad at the small number of complaints on this page.

True, it's a good a picture, but I'm not entirely happy with the insect that you've based Scyther on. In truth you should have used a praying mantis as the base, and give Scyther an appearance that matches it.

It's difficult to even begin to describe what this one makes me think. It's such a freaky little creature, but the more you think about it the more accurate it feels. Which is creepy, if you remember how big they say these things are...
