Description
Archimedes, leader to the Defenders of Virtue. He is responsible for assembling the DOV in a much needed response to the growing power of the Insurgence of Darkness by traveling all over the matoran world and even attempted to obtain the mask of time to travel back through it to recruit some of the most legendary toas in history but failed to obtain the powerful mask from the brotherhood of Makuta. Archimedes is one of the oldest toa to obtain his power and keep it before becoming a turaga. He is also one of the highest ranking members of the order of Mata Nui. However, Archimedes isn't the most noble of toa. He'll often bend the rules and defy orders from his superiors due to his blinding focus on stopping the IOD. He is known for being merciless and even cruel to those of ill will.Archimedes' name comes from 's character who is also an angel. His wings give him the ability to fly at supersonic speeds for short bursts but to achieve long periods of flight. He caries two sword, Ionus which can channel and amplify his toa energy, and the smaller, swifter Jaatera. Archimedes will Place ionus on his back during flight and channel energy as propulsion to achieve the short bursts of supersonic flight.
Updates to the MOC
I didn't do much compared to the old version. The most notable addition is the holster belt for Archi's sword, Jaatera. Plus it adds a nice realistic touch, and some color. I added a few pieces here and there to make the overall design more fluid. I also added silver triangle pieces to the sides of his torso under his arms to limit the shoulder movement and keep them from slouching down past the point a person would be able to slouch.

Sorry but I don't do instructions. its a huge pain the ass, plus it stifles people's creativity. Build your own MOC instead of just copying mine. I'm glad he's your favorite but I just don't believe in making instructions of my MOCs for a variety of reasons. Sorry.

Well that's a long story and you probably wanna get both sides because I'm sure we're going to have different answers to the question. What Aiden would say the problem is I don't fully know. All I can do is give my side of the story.
In a nutshell, A couple disagreements compounded into a deteriorating friendship where it went from not being friends but simply being civil with each other to the point that we couldn't even do that. We had one argument where he basically said that anything I say or do is irrelevant because I'm just some unemployed guy and he's going to go on to a nice college and what not. He won't admit it but it was enough to show me that he looks down on people like he's better than them because he comes from money and went to fancy private schools, so that somehow makes him a better person.
Another big factor I think was this 3rdeye88.deviantart.com/galler⦠I'm sure you can see the similarities between this and his comic, Hero Faffory. Well the original idea was he does his, I follow suit and we kinda reference each other. Ya know it was meant to be a hat tip to him and his comic. But no, he had these grandiose plans for Hero Faffory and basically it came across to me that it's okay if his perceived lessers emulate him, but not his contemporaries.
I can show you a bunch of examples where people took my thing and did their own thing with it. People have made their own versions of my MOCs before. I'm quite okay with that because like, if they like my idea so much that they want to do it themselves or take inspiration from it, who the hell am I to say they can't? I tried to find a compromise in the whole thing and he simply wouldn't have it. So in the wake of that I said "fuck it" and did things how I wanted. That's what led us to the arguments and it got to the point where I couldn't even work with him anymore. I blocked him and kicked him out of the BML. I've since tried to bury the hatchet and let bygons be bygons, but yeah he wouldn't have it. Wants nothing to do with me. So yeah what can ya do when people don't want to see reason and compromise?
Hehe He should be part of the United States Congress, he'd fit right in there.

Really? How so? He's got thigh armor, and he already doesn't have much of a waist. Check the other photos, maybe its the pictures that are throwing you off.

Oh I see. Hmmmm well you're the first person to say anything about that. I agree the the thighs could be a little longer, but I also have to keep the trans blue color scheme and this was all that I have after building O-jin and Archi. 
If you were here to see archimedes and pull him apart a little bit you'd see that he's built exactly the way he has to be for everything to work. Looking at the torso I thought that I could switch out a toa metru piece for a Vahki pelvis to shorten up the torso, but 1, that would bring the arms down too low, and with where the white bohrok pieces are on the sides of his torso that would have to go in exactly the same place, nothing would be gained. It just occurred to me that I actually make the torsos the lengths the are so that the arms are where they should be proportionate to the legs.

Well, proportionally on a human skeleton, the femur bone makes up pretty close to 1/4 of a person's height, no matter what the other proportions are. And you're right about the arms.
I suppose another thing is that 'action figures' are not humanly proportional. Their legs are longer, heads bigger and so on... if you measure one compared to an actual human ergonomic model, it's surprising.

The thing I wanted to avoid most of all was the "gorilla arms" where they hang down to the knees or past them like most bionicle sets do. So to avoid that the torso had to be longer than normal. But the arms and legs are proportional to each other. If a figure is disproportionate like that its cause I want him to be, like Matteo.
Its splitting hairs really. These aren't exactly human, and I got him as close to human proportions as I could with what I have. And I'm not looking to get exact proportions either.

I suppose it clashes with my style as well, which is to have a relatively small body compared to limb length quite often. At least, when I'm not making TC characters.

Ah I see. Matteo is like that, his body is very much smaller to his limbs, but again, I wanted it that way. What are TC characters?

Yeah they can. His wings can pull back, they can't pull straight back but enough to flap. And they can rotate to. So archi could use his wings as weapons by making his wings horizontal and spinning. The only thing Zane might have on archi is that his wings can fold up better, but there's also less wing to fold up.

Aha, but Zane can pull his wings all the way back. And I really don't think that Zane's wingspan is that much smaller than Archi's. Pffft. He may have speed, but that really isn't nimble. Zane can just dodge. Zig-zag. Besides, Zane has powers over darkness. Bwahahahahah MIND CRUSH!

So what? Archi's wings pull back enough. Plus they're still more solid than Zane's little tissue paper wings. 
Well he's not exactly lethargic, Archi is nimble to. What makes you think he isn't? Archi can do all those things to. I never mentioned anything about archi being bulky. Zane has a bigger sword and a shield, archi has a large sword and a smaller one so he can play both strengths. Zane's weapons both look heavy. Archi still has ionious that magnifies his power, which is already pretty good. Zane may have more agility, but archi's got insane stamina, he can fly for days. He could just wear zane down, or fly so fast around him that he confuses him and Ionius gives him good range to.
I believe I've said this before, zane would put up a damn good fight and it'd be super epic to see animated, but Archi would come out the victor.

Okay, okay. You know what? I think that all your characters are just overpowered. Anyway, I was saying that Zane is probably more nimble because even though he has heavier weapons, Archi has bulkier wings, more armor, and generally a heavier build.

But he's got the power behind it to move it. I understand what you're saying. His wings aren't that much bulkier than zane's and he doesn't flap his wings really he glides more like a bird, and he has propulsion so its more like a plane, yet his body is the fuselage so that makes him even more agile cause he can cut propulsion, move his the whole wing and his body if he wants to make a quick movement. Jets can move pretty quick and nimbly, add the advantages I just mentioned and you've got something that's crazy agile in the sky. He does have a heavier build, which is why he'd kick zane's ass, cause he's got the speed and the advantage of power. You gave zane a lot of armor to youknow, that fenrakk head would not be lite and allow for great speed, he'd be lopsided as hell. My MOCs are overpowerd compared to most other people's MOCs cause I've got the build to back it up.

Ummm no. Archi's had that ability long before I even came to Deviantart. The old build had a connector for the sword to go on his back. And I put that detail in his bio before we started this conversation up again. Archimedes three, I changed the bio to include that, we started talking about this when I stuck the back shot of him up.
