this is an original picture for a banner im painting for the beachfront in my neighbourhood.....i was supposed to draw this sleazy crook of a dead mayor that dressed up like a pirate all the time...he was supposed to be shooting a gun in his pirate outfit, for the start of the bathtub races(my city is "famous for")...i was excited about drawing a pirate, but not him in particular.
anyhoo, i said "screw it"and painted this instead.

maybe u can use a like an arch or sumthing that comes from the hair or of seaweed to like decorate and give a tighter border to the mermaid. sumthing about the octopus draws my eye away.............

i saw... a really cartoon octopus face, with that neg space on the left of the left eye....
i didn't notice until i checked the zoomed in ver that the octopus wasn't facing that direction at all!!! veird.
anyways, yea the stars feel cheap to me, cuz u have so much detail elsewhere, it feels like u jus plopped em in.
