Description of Character:
Sea green eyes: One of the most noticeable features on Kite is that he has a colorful pair of eyes. Round and large as a baby, full of happiness as he peers up at his parents. As he grows older they are full of mischief and eagerness.
Tan brown coat: Kite sports a pale brown coat, shining and well kept from his parents grooming. As he grows older however, his hair seems to become harder to tame, even with regular groomings his fur seems to stick out every which way from his constant wrestling and tussling with his siblings.
Spotted/Striped Markings: The young cub seems to resemble both his parents rather well, small rosettes cover his body from his mothers side, with long dark stripes making its way down his body. Stripes mixed in with the rosettes bore similar resemblance to his fathers pelt. He has a darker V marking on his chest that may grow fluff later on like his father, though hes almost envious that he'll never truly have a mane like his papa!
Personality
Lazy
“Ill do it later…”
(this is a trait to appear during his apprentice days)
From not listening to his parents at times, (until they use their angry voice), to simply be tasked with looking after something, the young cub has a rather relaxed frame of mind when it comes to his chores. His thought process is he can get it done anytime, until he realizes hes run out of time. (or gets caught.)
Sassy
Both a good and a bad trait, hes not afraid to stand his ground, even when its not quite necessary. Not unlike the sassy little bird, he can be quite mouthy when he wants something. Be it food, an adventure or just a nap!
Clever
The young cub is really quite clever when he sets his mind to it. He can learn things quickly and absorbs information easily. Though not necessarily eager to learn, once he’s put up to the task, he generally sees it through.
Playful
Kite tends to be really playful, whether its a good rough and tumble, tag, or hide and seek. He will play all kind of games! Sometimes he tends to play a little rough however and needs to be corrected.
Charismatic
Kite is really quite charming. Inspiring others to join along in his little games and adventures. Polite when he puts his mind to it, and sort of endearing in a way. He strives to be kind as much as possible.
Fickle
The boy can be a bit fickle when it comes to things he's into. From games, to things to collect, to things he admires from time to time. This may affect his choices later in life.
Tactless
Kite is a bit bad at wording things when he finds something he doesn't like or somethings bothering him. Though usually charming, if something upsets him he's a bit quick to say it out right without sugar coating things. Whether it's commenting about an injury that looks painful, or new scars! The cub is quick to point these things out, which can lead to some hurt feelings and a guilty conscious.
Background
It all started when they were just cubs themselves. Crow met Aine on a beautifully sunny day around camp, Aine was very boisterous, while the melanistic cub Crow was much more calm.
Although a bit rowdy, they ended up hitting it off rather well and continued to play games together since. Aine was always a bit mischievous, often leading Crow into some kind of trouble! From the time that Crow lost his feather and Aine offered to help him find it, to carving a giant pumpkin and her ending up stuck. The pair enjoyed quite a lot together, and with that became the best of friends.
Though not everyone had originally approved of their friendship, from early apprentice days it was clear that Aine’s brother Ocelot was protective of her, and did not like the idea of Crow being her friend. That lead to a small fight between the pair, Aine annoyed at him for the fact that he had purposely tried to antagonize her brother. After demanding an apology for her brother, the pair split to cool off. But sometime later Aine came forward to apologize, and the pair made up again (messily) and promised to do their best not to fight over things such as Ocelot anymore.
As they grew older , awkward teenage feelings began to emerge and the pair seemed to awkwardly dance around their feelings, pitifully confused. Aine attempting to admit it once, ended up chickening out, admitting instead that she loved ducks. Crowley got the honor of being trained by Aine’s mother and life went on. The pair often spent nights together, innocently, hanging out under the stars to watch birds.
Alas, tragedy struck, most of Aine’s family seemed to have disappeared. But the friends sought peace in each others company, and as fate would have it they seemed to understand and accept their feelings. He gently tucked a flower behind her ear, she gently teased them and the pair shared some gentle nuzzles. Sometime later Crow asked Aine to meet him by the lake, the place where it all began. He had something special he wanted to ask her. But the hunters seemed to have other plans as they kidnapped Crow and dragged him to the city. It seemed like ages until he was finally home, noticing that things had changed a little since he had been gone. Aine had clearly grown outward in size, and they both seemed to have confessions to make. Alas Crowley finally got to ask her properly to be his mate, and Aine expressed great joy, admitting that she was carrying cubs. This, this is where Kite’s story comes into play, along with his three other brothers and one sister.
