I see in alot of places that there is an ongoing movement towards making Azeris of turkic descent, but this is not true. The language is derived of turkic origins. Genetically its derived from the persians. Forget the flag language and symbols that are brainwashed threw the turkic dynastys in the middle ages. The fact of the matter is that the local people living there are the Caucasian Albanians who where forced under rule of different empires changed their religion culture and languages.
I am proud to say that I am from the caucasian region with a rich history but my blood (after alot of dna test maternal and paternal inside my own family is of near persian influence and not of any sort turkic genetical lineage. (there are slight turkic and russian mixes in the lineage.)

To give an example that matches current ongoing changes in the world: Idk if you know  much of egypts history, but the egyptians are not arabs, though in the current world their are considerd arabic people, they might speak the language and have the culture and religion, but inside of egypte if their would be a research alot of the people would not match the arabic genetics. which is a shame.. and a big loss in the cultural world. As of the rest of the arabic speaking world. But its how the world works, power overrulez.

I understand we share the same thoughts. Don´t worry, I just stated that alot of different races and peoples are enforced to adapt to the rulers in history.
