Had Zu and Golbat done a while ago, but I couldn't find a nice pose for Crobat. Until tonight.
It's gotta be the way I do things, because they just don't seem /natural/ compared to their official sprites. Zubat has that chubby look with shitty non-squarish wings (look at the official sprite; they're meant to be like a rectangle), Golbat's face/teeth/feet aren't, well, Golbat-ty, and Crobat is fat. Either that, or his wings are too short
Either way, here's the most common Pokemon in existence, and just as annoying.
Don't know what other staple I'm gonna do next. Probably the Geodude line, but the thought of shading rocks...Nyeah
Might be Magikarp/Gyarados, for lulz

Fixed Golbat's long fangs. The reason why Crobat appear fat was because of his extremely large forehead, making the distance between his ears seem like a major chubby factor. Elongated the body and wings-arms too. The Crobat official sprites give him as a bean/slightly-curve body, rather than a straight elipsoid, so I tinkered with that

As much as I dislike Golbat, I love the sprite you did of it. It reminds me of the old RBY sprite that had it's tongue hanging out :3
I also love Zubat's and Crobat's sprites. I can't tell you how happy I am to see these sprites done in that spriting style instead of DPPt's style X3

These are all done very well. The shading and colors are near perfect.
I REALLY like how you have Golbat with it's giant, crazy tongue out. I always missed that in the newer games.
The only one I criticize on is Zubat.
While I love the smaller, rounder proportions you gave it as opposed to its normal proportions, something does seem wrong.
I think it's the head.
I understand that it's due to the pose it is in and I can clearly see what you were trying to do, however, you still have to make it work.
Buuuuut. It is still far better than what most pixel "artists" on DA could ever come up with and I do love them. :3

I know exactly what your talking about. I kept comparing it to the Pt sprite, and couldn't identify WHY it didn't look right. As I recall, I stole his mouth and altered it a bit "P

zubats wings are shaped fine
golbats top fangs are a bit longer than usual
and yea for crobats its the wings that are too short
but they look so damn good lmao
