Onix is HUGE! Imagine breeding a baby version. Gotta be small right? Wrong. We get another Onix, and it's the same size as it's parents!

WURMIX (wurr-mix)
Pebble Snake Pokemon
Once born, WURMIX is covered in a thin layer of wet dust. This dust acts as an immune system against the moisture in the air, which they are allergic to. WURMIX are very playful, though for their size, can cause more damage than anticipated
Evolves into ONIX at Level 22
Bred from ONIX holding 'Rubble Incense'

Always had the idea for a baby snake/worm thing for Onix, and the original sprite was just some Onix 'tail rocks' ontop an Onix-like Ekans head >>
Needed to be cuter, so bigger head and eyes were needed
Worm/wyrm + [corruption on] onyx
