Right, so I have no idea what this is. It's sort of the cross-spawn of experimenting with a spiral pad of acid-free brown paper we found, my long-term obsession with Art Nouveau jewelry I can never actually afford to own (cry), and medieval beast-y designs. Haven't played with pastels in ages! Using the brown paper as the middle shade instead of a white paper for the highlight level was an exercise in flexibility. Most of this was actually drawn on the airplane trips home from Anthrocon. This, and some more unicorns and horsey things. I always really enjoy a good con where I come home feeling inspired to do art.

Species-wise I suppose this is sort of like a dragon...griffin...thing? Mostly I wanted to draw something elegantly wacky. I love the front legs that make absolutely no sense.
