Taylor, take me to Prom!
Happy birthday, Taylor. For the rest of you....
This is obviously a birthday gift for a dear friend of mine, Taylor, aka ~Oasis11 . She's a die-hard Roy fan, so I decided to give her the best 18th-birthday gift I could think of: Roy Mustang Fan Service. And therefore, by extention, all other Roy fans.
Roy himself was drawn and colored on the same cold-pressed paper as L. However, when I started coloring the background, I quickly realized that it was coming out absolutly hideous. My solution was to remove Roy and then mount him to a panel of fuzzy matboard using some scrapbook adhesives. I did have the foresight to photograph the image in all its original hideousness and post it in my scraps for those of you who care for some miscellaneous reason. Roy and the starburst on the matboard behind him are colored using my usual Prismacolor pencils. The matboard is, well, fuzzy suede matboard.

When I was l ooking at full I noticed they were blue, then white, then light brown... however the blue could just be from smuging the black with the white, that's what happened to me. But I like it.

Okay, goody! Most Fullmetal Alchemist fans are fans of one of two characters--Ed or Roy. And usually, they're vehement about one being better than the other. I'm an Ed fan; Taylor's a Roy fan. So basically, whenever we see eachother and have even the most tenuous connection to FMA, we get into this whole mock battle over who's better, Ed or Roy.

Really? Well, thanks! His clothes weren't a pain because they're in pencil; they're a pain because of that stupid limp fabric! DEATH TO LIMP FABRIC!

Roy is one of the characters in the anime FullMetal Alchemist. He's Ed's boss. He has the ability to manipulate fire through alchemy, and wants to become the head of his country's millitary, allegedly so he can make all the women in the millitary wear miniskirts.

Really? Did you ever read the manga? It's better than the anime, in my opinion; the storyline's tighter and there's more of a balance between comedy and drama. I have a link to some free scanlations if you're interested in trying it.

I just read A Dirty Job, Christopher Moore's newest book. It's very funny and off the wall, like all his stuff. I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending, but I still reccommend it nonetheless.

the glass castle is about her and her brother and sisters growing up dirt poor with mentally challenged parents...not to say, challenged really, just off...ya know? anyway they basically raised themselves.....its really really good.
