September 13th 2009I finished it. Last pic from me for a little while, I'm back to work on my commisions.
I'll put this onto an IM page for my hubby.

He's my husband's rp character. Kezzer's father is a very powerful wizard and was able to capture/enslave a young adult gold dragon. Kezzer was the result, and raised, pretty much to be a male prostitute that catered to a very specific, and secretive taste (he's a dominator).
He was never truly evil, the gold dragon blood caused inner turmoil, and when he finally met the Eilistraee following characters we play, Kezzer finally found his place and quickly turned good. (He doesn't actually like being a dominator, but is very very good at it. O.o Part of the reason Phae'Shalee eventually broke up with him, she couldn't really handle his dark side with intimate moments. )

Nice! I like that bg. I always like to put a little twist on my PC's to make them interesting. Like my half-gold dragon paladin named Palaxendor(Palax for short), who was a bard before becoming a pali, and is VERY prejudiced against certain races- particularly drow. Which is really amusing, since he is the twin brother of Lothir's current love-intterest, Vala. the two do NOT get along at all.

Is this an exotic form of Kobold? Or a half gold dragon Halfling?

I actually caught on after and felt silly. His features are very small to me. Small creature traits, might just be a style thing.

Large hands and feet give a character the look like they're smaller then they are (ie. hobbits have larger feet), Kezzer just has really big hands and feet in general. lol It's part of how he looks strange from his draconic/elvish mixture, so it makes sense that he looks smaller without something to compare him to.

Totally love the outfit, the strong pose, the great golden scales, it's head and hair, the colouring and all the little details soo much!

The design's credit mostly goes to my husband. He's often vauge on description though and I get a lot of free reign when it comes to the details. ^^

From his build, and body language there's such a sense of grace, and fluidity, and that he can sprint like lightning.

He's very dexterous but funnily I think that he has nearly nothing for his reflex saves. Kezzer is really multi-classed with loads of low levels of prestige classes, and somehow nearly all of his classes started out with no reflex save bns for the first couple of levels. It's a bit of an out of game joke that Kezzer notices something quickly with his high initiative, but then stands there and gets hit by the lightning bolt. XD

That +8 to Strength is sure decieving
But that aside (well, muscular drow would probably look silly after all) I really like that pic. He really looks like a half-dragon.

Seriously though, by looking at other images of half dragons in D&D books it seems as if the strength bonus is partly mystical. I've seen so many lean and skinny half dragons that either it's just artists not representing it well, or it's supposed to somehow be partly as mystical as things like element immunity or breath weapon... I suppose.

XD At times like this I tend to quote that episode of the Simpsons with Lucy Lawless.... if something seems out of place it's the fault of a wizard. Sometimes when something just doesn't make sense (in a way that you can laugh about it) my husband and I just go 'Wizard!'.

XD Yeah, you can tell that he's the creative writer, and the funny one. I can come up with good ideas/plots, but he's the one who can bring them to life in writing. ^^ It makes for a wonderful team.

I don't have the same flair that he does. I'm seriously thinking of making him write up intros for all of my art like he did way back for the Vaughn/Adora picture a couple of years ago. I may have to get out the whip to force him into it though. XD

He's a lot of things. XD But Kezzer's mostly a sorcerer. My husband was playing around with lots of prestige classes with him (which we discovered don't count towards xp limits for multi-classing)and if I recall he's something like a sorcerer/pierced mystic/dominator/some half dragon mage class (?) and about to become a spell addict. (Lots of alternate rp books for those classes. 
The game was played for a huge campain, so the characters went from an average of 5-8th level to around 17-21rst by the time we were done.

I was trying to make the metallic scales shimmer more from the light of the flame. I still need to work more on lighting effects, it could have used more flame light colours.

Oooo, I love the look on his face. Thats how he starts combat with a serious stare and his eyes flickering to all the people on the theatre of battle. Then a fireball or two, followed with a fire brand and a rain of hail and the corner of his lips turn up a bit. Some lighting, magic missles and a cone of cold for anyone who thinks they've figured out his spell pattern and wasted their time on protection spells come next followed by a genuine smile. An explosive cascade to help his allies then a force cage to snare any annoying rogues dodging his elemental barrage combined with a delayed blast fireball... not really for the extra damage but rather something for them to think about while they're trapped and wondering about thier choices in life. Around now a quiet small cackle begins, turning into a full blown maniacal laugh as Kezzer pulls the handfull of wands tucked into the back of his pants and anyone still standing realizes its not going to be thier day.

Phae'Shalee watches everything 'FOOM' around her, and as her hair settles back down from the force of the explosions she sees the people crying in the force cages and her heart breaks. Gently she tugs on Kezzer's forearm while he's cackling madly.
"Um, Kezzer, I think that they've learned their lesson now. You can stop."

Lol, if I can get the chance to draw them. Oddly I keep wanting to draw couples pictures now of all of the characters and their SOs from the game. Like Mi'Ri'Lil and Laer'ien (a gold elf, and holy warrior of Shevarish... the god of vengence against the evil drow gods. Long story there), Rilae'Lya and Naydeth (the formerly evil drow rogue), Illiam'Ithra and her two consorts (drider partially fixed by Eilistraee and a minotaur. O.o), Talalara and her two consorts (both drow), Alzin and Tyra, and Olorae and um... Thesk the snake. >.> (He's a serpent creature, pretty much like an intelligent snake, from a place where snakes evolved as the intelligent species. Crushes on strange things tends to run in the family, Mi'Ri'Lil used to be in love with an intelligent, talking holy sword.)

x3 Crushes on strange things reminds me of my character Bryony. She's nine, talks to plants and animals, and has a huge crush on...a snapdragon. xD

XD That is like Mi'Ri'Lil. lol She had a 'thing' for falling in love with a personality, it didn't matter what shell that personality was in, and that seems to have genetically passed to her children. lol
We've actually joked about a family portrait where they are all lining up, brining in their strange looking children, and then one sitting down a potted tree with the children with a smile on her face.
Mi'Ri'Lil would need at least 5 IMs though. lol I made the character back in early '93 so she's been around for a while, and she's was roleplayed a lot in those early years and is so emotional that whenever she is rped my chest hurts the whole time.
