I felt more emotional connection to Lilly, and more mental connection to Rin. That's what I was trying to say

Excellent story in everyone's route. But my favorite is Lilly's, Rin is definitely second though. I felt more emotional connection to Lilly than Rin. I think it may have something to do with how I saw Lilly as my ideal woman and girlfriend, and when looking at Rin it was almost like looking in a mirror lol. If it was real, Lilly would be my girlfriend and Rin would be my best friend (we'd find a way to make it work between those two). Rin's route was spooky in how much of my own life I saw in her struggle.

It's the magic of KS, if I could phrase it that way.
In the girls of Yamaku, we see bits and pieces of ourselves. Parts from our past, things that we have tried to hide, things that we take for granted.
The connection's there, but it can be more present in one girl than another. For me, it was Lilly who had the strongest link with my personality. Hanako's introversion is something I also have, but in a less powerful form.
See where I'm going with this?

I completely understand. They both show signs of introversion, but Rin especially. Rin's personality, save for some of her extremes, is me to a T. That's why I said she would be a better best friend for me than a love interest, Lilly compliments me more, Rin's too similar. But its good to encounter someone like yourself that treats this game with the respect it deserves, despite the Hentai. I remember talking about it with some of my friends, and a few liked it, but a few couldn't look past the H-scenes. Ah well, still great story. Lol look at me rambling like Rin

It's perfectly fine, skyfrank. Trust me, I'm holding myself back; I could write a whole short story on how KS changed me, but I'm saving that for later. I can relate, actually. A good friend of mine, who happens to be a girl, is 99% Emi, without the track running and the missing legs. She's an amazing person, one I'd be lost without. It's amazing how close she and Emi were in terms of personality and even physique - short, blonde, somewhat flatchested, etc.

If you are with her she must abandon her painting.
If you let her go she might be the best artist in the world but... without you.

If you go with her, she doesn't abandon painting completely. Nomiya wanted to exploit her talents on a global level, one that she couldn't handle. She'd go insane.
Truth is, she paints for no reason and with no goal whatsoever. Money is superficial in her eyes, and that's all Nomiya wanted. That, and ill-earned fame.
The moral to the story? That's for us to find. The endings are the same from person to person, but the way we perceive them will change.
