Yeah, I've gotten around. As it stands now, the only states I haven't been to are Washington, Oregon, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Alaska, and Hawaii. But Colorado is definitely my favorite of all the ones I have visited, and the Mountain West is definitely the best region.
Yeah, I don't even understand most of those profile questions. And I'm a very opinionated person...
My dad and best friend are photographers, so from a very young age I was kind of pulled into it. Then I moved on towards music, which evolved into (the occasional) recorded song. I dabbled in MS Paint for nature scenes, but I realized that I'd really like to get into photography again. So I asked for a camera and a lens for my birthday, a lens for Christmas (which evolved into a D40 due to the difficulty of finding a film camera lens and the inconvenience of film) and there it is.

Just curious as to where in the country you live. I've always considered Appalachia somewhat unique in appearance, so I was wondering if you lived anywhere in this area.

hah, i suppose the midwest shares characteristics with many places, but i think the mississippi river valley is gorgeous. my friend says it reminds him of scotland, so i'll have to test my theory of shared characteristics when i go there. what about you? what's your story?

Oh I'm from Colorado, so nowhere really looks like home to me. I've been to other parts of the Rockies, and still, Colorado is one of the most unique looking places on Earth. There is a lot more sheer beauty out there than there is in Maryland. What I like out here is the interaction between humanity and nature. The buildings are significantly older in this area than in mine. Even with the ghost towns, there is a different character, and I just love both.

ahh, you add fuel to the fire (the fire being my longing for travel). for as long as i've lived on this earth i should have seen more of my own country by now... as it stands i've only been to the dakotas, wisconsin, iowa, and illinois (and, of course, minnesota). i would love love LOVE to go out west and see the mountains... all we've got here are bluffs, which are gorgeous, but still... they're not mountains. and, of course, i need to go east and see the area that inspired one of my favs, robert frost.
i'll have to be sure to go through colorado on my roadtrip and see exactly what it is you're talking about.
haha, okay, so i just now took a serious look at your profile... "what am i, a turtle?" and "who i was would certainly hate who i am".... awhhh, dude, a person after my own heart. well played, well played.
so what got you into photography?
