Ah yes, the kaiju that's on every Godzilla fan's hit list; or rather, used to be? This tuna head has been the subject of debate ever since its divergent debut in 98, and with this year being its 25th anniversary I felt it right to share my take.

The design itself, similar to Clover, remains basically unchanged with minor differences in the scutes and texture. Being just one species among a much larger and more diverse family known as Gigantis, the Zillas adopt a pack-hunting mentality. Unlike its kin, these predators are built for speed and evasion, their agility unmatched by any land-dwelling kaiju. As a trade-off to this feature, Zillas in their base form are incapable of any breath weapons characterized in their family. That would soon change.

Following a massive battle between two Zillas and a single Clover specimen in Manhattan, the entire city was leveled as a last-ditch effort. Unbeknownst to the government, a single hatchling of the mated pair survived, also having partially witnessed the events unfold. After feeding on large quantities of Seabed Nectar left behind by the Clover and it's parasites, this individual would soon reach a size surpassing it's predecessors, characterized by a blueish color due to the Nectar's effects. More than that, it also gained the ability to spit radioactive flames from its mouth, in the form of a concentrated fireball; this specimen has been designated as 'Junior' by the Military after learning its true origin. Junior has been seen leading his own pack at times while keeping them in check, assisting the military in hunting down Clovers and other monsters. It has gotten to the point of the public labeling him their 'American Godzilla' as a way to compete with Japan's monstrosity. Due to his traumatic upbringing, instinct tells Zilla to only be curious and even friendly towards humans, never aggravate them to the point of another Manhattan.
