And at long last! Beetlejuice's body sketches. I really like the middle shot of him, but I also enjoy the others. I tried to give him some pudge around the middle. I never thought of BJ as being fat, really, but he does have a beer gut. (Some how this only makes him sexier -only BJ could pull off a sexy beer gut). I'm so used to drawing tall, lanky guys. Lydia was less of a challenge since I decided to make her curvy. (Curvy girls are my forte, thank you). I had a lot of fun drawing him, though. It was nice to work on something a little different for a while.And yes, he is holding a Lydia plushie. ^^

aww, i love the drawing you did of beetlejuice. so cute. and i also made his pink and red beetle pajamas because i thought they where so cute and fun looking. and beetlejuice holding a lydia plush doll. very cute. yeah, i even made a 5 foot tall cartoon beetlejuice plush doll with no sewing pattern. and i love to snuggle up next to my beetlejuice doll. yes, i still like to sleep with stuffed animals and my plush doll.

That is awesome! Nothing wrong with sleeping with plushies. I sleep next to my old blankie from childhood and a little scarecrow doll my mom gave to me, and a stuffed skull-shaped plushie. That's awesome that you made BJ's pajamas. I really want to make some of my own.

that's cool. and if you do make a pair of his pj's, i would like to see a picture of that. yeah, i love to sew and make things. it's fun to do. and in my deviant art gallery i have a picture some where of my 5 foot cartoon beetlejuice doll that i made. and cool a stuffed scarecrow and a skull shaped plushie. i have a ghost shaped stuffy. he's name his Mr. Jitters, because the look on his face looks like he ate to much halloween candy and he's having a sugar rush. yeah, i love to give my stuffy's names like another stuffy that i love to sleep with at night is a gray and white cat and her name is soda pop.

I like that you kept the pooch. I kinda see him as being a little more rounded in the belly, but I do like that you incorporated what you did. I'm not a huge fan of the green in the first image, but I love the cockiness and his overall frame. It seems much more realistic than in the original show...where he appeared to be a pear with twigs for arms and legs.
I like the overall design. I think it's the hair that's throwing me off. LOL His hair is just so full and bushy...it seems so strange [not bad strange, just different strange].
I dunno what thinks, but I'd love to see ya so some other characters as well...like Jacques, Prudence, Bertha, Claire...kinda see your variety.
I'm not the boss of course ^-^ It's just my own curiosity to see what other gems you can manage ^-^

Oh yes, I would love to draw some of the other characters soon. I have an idea for how I want to draw Bertha and Prudence.
As far as his hair goes -yes it's rather bushy and full. I wish I had made his beer gut a little more apparent in retrospect -perhaps in future sketches I will bring that out more. This, in addition to the way I draw his hair, can only be attributed to my general "manga" style. I learned to draw manga from reading the Sailor Moon graphic novels, and I don't think it has ever left me. My general style is very wispy, and shoujo-like. I think I'll probably go back and redo a few sketches, and fix some things.

No problem. I did want to make it clear I liked it, but did want to offer some constructive criticism.
Your manga style is very good. I dunno about the boss, but I just love testing possible artists to see their variety ability. For me, it helps me decide how many different types of projects a person is capable of doing.
But, as I said...I'm not the boss...I'm just the writer LOL. But it does, in that aspect, help me gauge what I can and can't put in a script, depending on what I know the artist can deliver ^-^
