Drawn using stock photosThe astrolabe/clock creature is adapted from a design found at the Oxford Museum of the History of Science. For some reason the scanner made this very grainy, but when I tred to remove the graininess it took away all the detail of the pencil shading - if anyone can fix this do let me know
I made a mess of the wings and the cogs by being lazy and doing them straight into pen...that'll teach me

About the scanner.. I have that problem alot too.. usually what I do is scan it with high resolution, then take it into photoshop or something, then adjust the tone and contrast a bit to darken it up. The lines for shading will still be there... just so light you can't see them until you adjust this.. then if it's too heavy or scratchy looking you can run it through a simple blur filter and it cleans up nicely. I really hate that too tho.. I wish my drawings looked exactly as I draw them I think that the scanner destroys them so it takes quite a bit of work in photoshop to bring it close to it's original condition

The wings are awesome. I don't know why, but I've never seen peacock feathers incorporated into wings on people before. Very cool.

At first the squashed-looking cogs set me off, but it adds a good amount of imperfection to the piece. Maybe even makes it seem like Father Time is drunk or something. I dunno.

I love your draws, can't exaplain the feeling when observing it.
Your style is someting that makes me feel confuse. The lines are simple but its results are drawns very rich in details that hold a great expression power with a bit of fetish and inocence... combining it is just fantastic.
Since most of your draws ( all but the alice dinner ) makes me feels like that I decided to express this confuse but very good to feel confusion.
