Yeah, so after watching the second episode, you kinda see that the Gems have a kind of special power besides their weapons (shape-shifting, holograms, little orby thingies), so I wanted to give my OC one...
Diamond has the ability to turn objects into strong sharp diamonds, including herself. She mainly transform her hands, and she uses them as a shield or to cut stuff with. She can also cover her entire body, making her virtually indestructible, but the complete transformation is extremely painful, and she only does it in emergencies.

Thats really cool, looks somewhat powerpuff girl based. But has its own cool look. The hair is nice and puffy, the shard form quite scary. And its a cool battlr type. Lovely. The but area of her is eh i guess. Makes her seem like a bug. But its alright.
The crystal shard part of her. She reminds of a certain gemseen only in the comics, it was sorta like a ghost. And it too turned things into crystals, but didn’t have control.

Look, your character is really cute, and I do enjoy the design, but, as many others have said before, I would recommend changing her gem. (Maybe to a moissanite or cerussite, which are both fairly diamond-like in appearance.) I get that you stated that she was a reject, but it doesn't really matter as the diamonds are rulers, and on homeworld she would likely have a similar status to them in nearly any scenario.
Also, I think that the "Turning objects into diamonds, including herself" power is a bit... Over the top. Even though you said that she only uses it in emergencies, the power is still a little bit too much. I would suggest confining that power to her arms, similar to Garnets gauntlets. It would help the character to be less of a "Mary sue" and more of a fair oc.
Once more, have little issue with the overall look of your character, though the fact that her gem is her lips in rather... inconvenient. It would make it extremely difficult for her to speak, as gems are solid objects, and is overall a fairly bad idea. Maybe you could try placing her gem on her forehead or eye, if you want to keep it on the face. If you want to keep her gem on her lips, however, you may want to consider the side effects that it would have on her speech, and add them to her story. (Ex.- She was unable to speak properly and ridiculed for it, so she left homeworld the first chance he got to escape all of the mockery, meeting the crystal gems at one point after her journey.)
You do not need to listen to my points if you do not wish, but I do suggest considering some of my points, to help your character along the way to becoming a great oc.

I don't even use this OC anymore or even like SU so I don't intend on changing her. All her stuff is still uploaded mostly for archive/nostalgia purposes.

Please, Take this as a helping comment, but this thing needs some work, this oc breaks cannon. Diamonds can't be rejects, because they are rulers! And diamonds are much, much taller than that!!! Also, were is the gem on this thing? Is it the crown??? Also diamonds don't care about humans.

You see, that's the good thing about fan made characters. They don't have to follow cannon rules because they're not real, just fan made. You can make your own version and put your own spin on it. Also, this was posted in 2013...

hey, i had a diamond oc but i later changed it in to a light blue zircon, and if i were you i would do it to, and i think shes a bit "mary sueISH", and you don't have to take this as bad and please take this with a gran of salt, and i just want to help you so you don't get hurt by this oc(aka people saying this is a mary sue) just don't take this bad.

I get that she's a reject gem but why does she like humans? As a Diamond she wouldn't care.
It's good how you say that she THINKS that she's perfect and not that she IS perfect
Why is she so short? Diamonds are huge and are likely taller that Alexandrite
I'm guessing that the one that looks like it's covered in ice is her corrupted form it's not really explained
Her weapon is good and I like the design of it and I like the design of the character altogether
Maybe a bit more explanation as to how she wasn't involved in the war it's not really very detailed

I see a lot of controversy about this, but I'm just glad you got away with a Diamond OC, my birthstone is Pink Diamond and ehhhh....that's not such an easy gemsona to make, luckily I have my Spirit Quartz to be my gemsona, but I actually like yours.

Why do people think she's stronger than Garnet?
1) She never said she was, she is literally just blocking a hit in the picture.
2) LOTS of gems, and fusions are stronger than Garnet, I'm pretty sure Yellow diamond just needs to sit on her and poof.
3) Even if she is "stronger" that is none of your business, it's just an oc, it's obviously not canon, she could be a unicorn that poops marshmellows for goodness sake.

1) Nobody is stronger then Garnet, NOBODY!
2) You are as normal as everyone else, Diamond.
3) You are not one of the Diamonds. White, Blue, and Yellow Diamond are the Diamonds, and you are not one of them.

I agree she's kind of a Mary Sue, but we've seen Jasper directly overpower Garnet. Plus Sugilite, Sardonyx, Malachite and Alexandrite are definitely stronger than Garnet.

1) gems can be stronger than Garnet, also Garnet was just a reference of strength
2) I think she knows, but that is just her power

4) she is not 'too powerful' although diamonds can be strong, correct angles will cause the cleavage of the diamond make it shatter (this is legit science)

This is one of the type of Oc (gemsoma whatever) that I hate.

I'm going to say this... With the diamond authority, her existence cannot be possible. There would only be one of that certain diamond. A lot of Gemsonas could exist, however, this one can't. That's my only problem with her.

I know now it can be dumb to have a diamond OC but this is before they were off-limits. Next, it could just be a nickname for a quartz or something. Finally, even though diamonds can be VIRTUALLY INDESTRUCTIBLE, they still have clevage, points where they can be shattered (this is true, so don't say I'm lying). Even though a direct hit from Garent may not break, a good angle would shatter it.
