finally colored! This is one of my favorites of Alanna so far, keeping her gender ambiguous... though with those lips? Oh well, still good for now
As the shield depicts, this is before her knighthood, but the sword does indicate that it's probably sometime after the first book 2B pencil, wacom and photoshop

Sorry, but I have to say this, because it's a pet-peeve of mine: guys have thick lips too. Geez. Just because it's hard to cartoon masculinity with thick lips (or femininity WITHOUT them), doesn't mean they don't exist...

I love texture on brushes! I sometimes feel bad for Alanna, being enough unfeminine to pass as a boy for so long, so I thought adding something... like lips, which in the real world would be mistaken as just a genetic feature, would give her a pinch of girliness... enough so when she reveals her true sex she can yell "haha! Suckers!" I like Alanna a lot
