Hi there! I've come from ProjectComment . Lovely to meet you!

Neopolitan has always been one of my favourite RWBY villains next to Roman, and I have to say I just adore how you captured her smug expression. The background fits perfectly because of her pink-white-and-brown colour scheme, and her sitting pose reminds me of the fight with Yang and Neo when she sits down and just smirks at Yang. xD

Your light sources are really good, but I feel that the lens flare is a somewhat distraction. The pink sleeve that is visible on her glove feels a little metal-listic- if you know what I mean! I wasn't able to find any examples so I drew something myself, in hopes it will help you: here!

Anyway, I hope my piece of constructive criticism helps.

This is so simple yet so beautiful…The character really is appealing

The First Thing I noticed was her Face, Hair, and the Glow light

Because the background is done well....the character fits perfectly on it

You cleverly made use of darker colors in the background and lighter colors on the character to make it stand out more.

Her Face Expression and Body Language are on point and reflects what type of personality the character has…
She looks confident, smart and assertive…You added some blushes on her cheeks which indicate us that she may also have a soft side.

Her Costume Design is made really well and looks great on her. The shading on her left arm around the inside elbow is a bit too dark
which blends with the background too much and makes her arm look triangle shaped but no biggie, nothing major

The details, shading and color on the Hair are again nothing but great

I see you switched the colors in her eyes opposite to the colors of the Hair, Nice touch

All the colors of the costume are placed well and are all are matching perfectly

Her cleavage details and shading is done well and adds to feminine appeal

I have nothing more to say just that this is a great piece of art…Like I said, Simple yet so Beautiful

Hi! I'm a fellow member of ProjectComment, but this time I'll be critiquing this lovely piece as part of Critmas 2016: Battle of the Critters!

Neo is one of my favorite RWBY characters, and I think you captured her personality perfectly through her graceful posture, taunting expression, and raised weapon . I really like how you added a pink light to the background, and gave the shading a pink tint to match...but the shading looks too "sharp" in some areas, such as the elbow and tail of the coat. Even under strong lights, the shading in these areas should be blended more due to the material of her coat - here's an example ). I can't give a comprehensive anatomy feedback as drawing is not my specialty, but to me, the hand anatomy looks a bit off as well. The tips and joints of each finger should be visible and distinguishable; I suggest drawing them separately rather than bunching them together - here is a photo that may help. Lastly, given the intensity of the lighting, the handle of the cane needs additional shading on its bottom edge.
