Description NOTE: I’m not a professional paleoartist and can’t say with any certainty that this is 100% accurate, so if you are striving to create an accurate dinosaur depiction yourself I suggest you do not use this as a reference.

The grand return of this guy ... sort of. I decided to stick with the same markings.
For once, I’m REALLY happy with how this came out. I think giving Oviraptors fluffenchops* was a good decision.
I kind of stopped working on this painting before I felt it was totally completed. I feel like I captured the vibe I was going for and worried if I tried adding any more detail it would ruin it.

The fluffenchops and also my experiments with dromaeosaur jowls were sort of me trying to find physical qualities that make dinosaurs look less alien and more familiar. Also not sure if I mentioned this under the last Khaan drawing but the colouration is loosely based on an Eastern Meadowlark.

*”Fluffenchops” are the fluffy feathers on the cheeks of cockatoos. They puff up and cover the beak somewhat when the cockatoo is relaxed.

He does a bit, doesn’t he? Oviraptors honestly all look like giant parrots.
