Description A rebuild of my original Zamboa Colossus. I drew inspiration from the Anti-Spiral mecha the Grand Zamboa. Link: [link]
Crap...now that I look at it, the lower arms look weird, they need to be bulked up a bit. Well at least the legs a stable and it no longer need to be supported by the uber-arms, but due to the sheer size of them they have to rest in a 'knucledragging' position to avoid tipping over. I wanted the chest-mouth to have a curving grin, but that's really hard to do in lego.
Bio:________________________________________________
Zamboa is considered evil by most; but he's not allied with the Makuta, he views their methods as too chaotic and destructive; he will, however, influence them when it suits his goals. Zamboa views himself as a guardian who'll preserve life/universe/existance at ANY cost. Because of this, his methods are often viewed as cruel, uncaring, and brutal; but in reality it's more like he has an omniscient morality licence*; and has lived so long, he's very cynical and doesn't really understand the lives of normal, short-lived beings. He would be lawful neutral, but is lawful evil due to how the vast majority of the universe views him.
*(See explination on tvtropes.)

I'm guessing 3 hours to find the parts, 5 to assemble it

Kinda. Zamboa is more of a result of several revamps/rebuilds of my Colossus. I built the colossus, left it, improved it after while, left it, modified it. Each rebuild taking several hours. This repeated several times until I got my current form Zamboa.

Okay, lets start with what I like.
The Face-body is pretty cool. if you're going to work on getting the color scheme consistent concentrate it there and in the uber arms. The arms and legs could be a little more forgivable I think.
I like that its based off Gurren Laggan style Mechs. When I first saw it it was before I had gotten into the series. Now that I see it now I instantly made the association to those kinds of Mechs. Then I read the description and sure enough, it is.
The uber arms, they're a great idea, but if you could get them consistent and symmetrical that'd improve this MOC greatly. I think symmetry is your friend on this MOC. GL Mechs seem to be pretty symmetrical I think.

Things I dislike
I'm not a fan of the second "top" head. I suggest getting rid of the Teridax mask cause you end up with a face on a face on a Mech that has a face for its body. That, and it doesn't look very solid. OVerall the head is distracting and doesn't flow with the rest of the MOC. I suggest redoing it. The only part that works is the teeth.
The legs aren't that great either, but even you said you need to bulk those up. So you already know that. Go with more custom limbs throughout the entire MOC, so the arms could use a little more work to.

Overall, You've got some really interesting elements going on here, but the whole thing, including presentation needs polishing up. This to me is like an old muscle car that's been rusting in a garage for a few decades. Its rough now, but with some work, it'll be great. You've got a lot of potential here with this one. Keep working at it. That's how I got where I did with my MOCs. Hope this was helpful.

With the two uber-hands I was going with a fire/heat and water/ice theme for them, each hand controlling a different element. Plus, I was running out of parts to match the hands and make them symetrical, so I went with the 2 elements thing.

Yeh the head does look real akward, I want to keep the horns though, any suggestions for a new look?

Yeah. I figured that. Which is why I couldn't really say "make this different and better and not uncoordinated." I knew you did what you could.

Hmmm...well like I said, the teeth are good looking, match the body, but the rest is all off. Maybe try using the other face on the Kanohi Krakhaan mask, lose the ball in the back and something more rounded for the horns I think.

Hey, fixed it up, will try to post it tomorrow. Head and upper legs fixed up great; but the arms (not uber), the arms... sigh... they were a pain. One of the arms is missing a surface piece after I literly spent a hour failing to find it. I know it's in there somewhere, but I just can't find it; you ever have that problem?

- I like the general concept of it, with the mouth on the chest and everything.
- Colours could be cleaned up everywhere, particularly the white pieces sticking out in places.
- I understand that a creation this size is hard to support, but perhaps you could make stands for the arms? That'd greatly improve the posing as well.
- Speaking of posing, that chest-mouth looks like it can open up. If so, why not show us?
- I think presentation is probably where this deviation falls down most. Try and remove as much of the background as possible, have a more aesthetically pleasing photo size and distribution, and better photo quality if you have access to it.

Overall, not too good, but certainly not bad either. Hope you don't mind my rather critical comments.

1. Thank Gurren Lagann for the inspiration.
2. I'll try to fix that or cover it up when I bulk up the limbs more.
3. I suck at making stands.
4. Yes the chest mouth can open. Show you guys in the remake.
5. I'll put a blank backround behind it when I take the picture next time.

I believe the trope you're looking for is omniscient morality license.

Not bad, not bad. I suspect it could be cleaned up a bit, but it's definitely got the look down.

I like more in-depth comments. Tell me what you thought was cool about it. This is my first colossi-class MoC.
