Description
First seen in 1951, the early black and white episodes featured a GS steam locomotive. The shot cross dissolves to a close-up of the running gear of an older SP Pacific 4-6-2, probably a class P5. When they rely on stock footage, they can't always get it perfectly correct.

When in a few years they switched to color production, they substituted a pair of EMD E7 diesels. "More powerful than a locomotive!" intoned the announcer in both incarnations.
