Description I started this painting at the beginning of the february and have been picking away at it for the last 22 days It was a bit interupted though, because of school. Damn school.

This is an illustration of Edmund discovering Narnia. He is found by the White Witch who proclaims herself as 'Queen of Narnia'; hence why Edmund is bowing to her! Poor sod!

I painted this in watercolours, and used ink, and a fineliner to do the inking. I was playing around with using misty colours with this one, although I can't get them quite right on the computer >.>

oh gosh!~thats so beautiful! i love your illustrative art so much! your so gifted & its so wonderful to see your work. I love classic illustrations (Like Dulac, Rackham) & always wonder where new illustrators are coming from. Its wonderful to see a new illustrator whose still so young & yet already great. Im sure your future work will be even more breathtaking & soon youll be among the giants of illustration!

Thankyou so much! I spent half of my year last year working on Narnia stuff for school - I kinda got stuck in a rut, but it was a rut I was happy to be in I am trying to build up my portfolio of illustrations so that when I finish school, I will be good to go!

THis is fantastic, I even find it better than Bayne's original drawings.
The colors are so chilly and subtle, and Edmund looks like such the little boy next to Jadis.
It reminds me of a fantastic BBC production I saw of Narnia when I was littler!

Please do! I know it wouldn't be as dazzling as the recent Narnia movies, but I loved them.
The creators did such a neat job with the animal makeup for the actors, I love their version of Tumnus!
And I actually like their version of Jadis too.
And the story made it as far as 'The Silver Chair' too.

Thanks! Although the colours look a lot nicer in real life, I couldn't get them quite right on the computer :S *grumbles*

Colors are never right on computers. I get so frustrated making digital work, because they look different on every monitor in my house! Something that looks good while I'm working on it will look TERRIBLE on another computer. ><

Ah yes! That happens to me too!
My 'Welcome to Narnia' picture looks so bland on my dad's computer compared to on the one here! I really hope it doesn't look like that everywhere!

I get so frustrated trying to make them right, that I just say 'stuff it' and leave it how it is...
