For extra detail downloadOh crap. This took SO much longer than expected but turned out so much better than expected too. I had a small asignment on the civil war and hoped to do it all hetalia based but there was a complete lack of picture for the American Civil War, Hetalia style. It made me think how you would portray that and eventually came up with this idea.
Alfred marching through a marsh, prepared for battle. Take note of his reflection if you haven't already.
I spent a lot of time on the smaller details of the Union Alfred. (i didn't think Confederate Alfred needed it since he would be blurred to look like a reflection anyway.) Tell me anything iyou can to help me improve of course and I hope you all like.

The civil war was about big goverment vs state goverment. Slavery was'nt the true reason for it, this war was terrible and I honor the brave Americans that died on both sides. May we never forget and never dishonor your memory!

There was a lot of bitterness stewing in the South toward the North for a long time before the war. Β For one thing the North had more financial success, and many Southerners were very resentful of that. Β That is just one small reason of the thousands of small things that caused the war. Β Slavery did play a part, we can't forget that, but as you said it can't all be blamed on slavery as it was many different things at once that set it off. Β As you say, may we never forget this terrible war and all the suffering it brought!

*Fellow southerners, Don't make us all look like idiots, Slavery was a problem with our country that we should've wiped out with the colonies. An American problem not just a regional one, That's why it was the American civil war. Such a violation of human rights cannot be defended. You can like learning about your ancestors' history (I'm a history lover so I do love to learn about confederate history) but please don't deny yourself of history, logic and support of human rights, go, read a book. It's a clichΓ© but it's true...Slavery is slavery. That was the kickoff factor of the war.

Fellow sister here. Couldn't have said it better myself. o_o In fact, England refused to help us because of that. They said they wouldn't help anyone who supported slavery. This is probably because they fought so long to rid themselves of the monarchy. Most southerners ONLY fought because losing would bring the loss of their homes or families, and nobody's gonna' take that sitting down.

Now you're changing your story bubba. You were saying the Confederacy was evil, which, infact, very few southerners owned slaves, only the rich. Why would poor southerners go to war to defend slavery when they didn't own any? There were other issues. Most abolitionist were infact in the south, including Robert E Lee. The Confederacy would have ended slavery for recognition from France, the UK, ect and if they didn't it would have died a natural death in the 1890's. I hate racism as much as the other guy but the Union let slaves in a bunch of their states to.

I don't know what Hetalia is, but I always wanted a photo of myself in my Federal (Union) and Conderate uniform back to back. I love the fog or the cloud of burnt black powder that creates a "fog of war" where you are only shooting back at muzzle flashes. It's in times like this that the hair stands up on your neck and for a moment you are trasported back in time.

I really really like this a lot, and it's really really good. And I don't mean to be nitpicky when I say this, I'm not putting down your work or anything. It's a common mistake I see. Union Alfred wouldn't have his glasses because they represent Texas, which seceded.
