◊ Personality: He's a grade-A bastard when it comes right down to it. He looks for jobs that challenge his abilities. Loves to show-off his fire magic and have everyone praise him. Due to his attitude he doesn't make too many friends, but that's okay because he hates accepting help from others.

However, if for some reason you manage to be his friend he likes to protect them but does so in the most showy way possible. He enjoys compliments and people stroking his ego so doing any of those will make him like you that much more.

◊ History:
Diederik as a young demon was really rebellious and over the top. He would bully other small demons and kick them around just to show himself off and make himself look strong. At the time he didn't know much fire magic other than a bit of a spark so he had to work on his brute strength.

Kids would tease him because he had pitch black skin and looked a lot more demonic as compared to most other demons. They would also tug on his ears and call him an elephant since they were fairly large. And that was the catalyst for his bullying. He kicked their butts and showed them all who's boss.

As he grew up he stayed completely the same. He was always a jerk to the other kids (( especially the younger ones )) and was always beating them up. His father wasn't much help in getting him off that path since he was so YEAH SHOW THEM WHAT FOR and always telling Diederik how proud of him he was that he could beat up so many other demons.

When he lost a fight of strength though to one of the other demons that caused him to snap. There was no way he could lose! There had to be something that would give him an edge! He noticed a bunch of other demons playing with magic and that got him thinking. Maybe he could use magic too to make himself stronger.

He started to practice with his fire magic after that. At first they were small red flames but that wasn't enough for him. The flames had to be bigger, they had to be hotter! He wasn't going to settle for the tiny red flames that he was making so he continued pushing himself to exhaustion every day to make his fire magic stronger!

After years and years of training he managed to get his flame to the bright blue that he wanted and to get them to a decent size! However it requires a lot of power and concentration so he gets tired fairly easily if he uses it too much.

Once he felt ready with his fire magic he decided to get a job so that he could support himself and travel around Superbia to show off his skills. The best way to do that was to become a mercenary! He got to beat the crap out of monsters and other demons! A good way to prove his skill and show off to everybody if he got a large bounty.

So far he's completed at least 80 jobs in his 10 years of being a mercenary. He feels it's a pretty good track record and would hate for it to be tarnished especially since he's completed every task he's ever taken on.

His only goal in life now is to become stronger and wield his fire magic better than anyone else!

*His flames are extremely high in temperature which is why they appear blue rather than red. He wouldn't settle for anything other than the highest temperature.
*When he uses his fire magic his scales begin to glow with energy. When he's not using magic though they turn off and blend in fairly well with his skin.
